  1. Thanks welshblue. This is a picture of Natalie the cat in her carrier. One of my favorite photos. This one didn't need to be touched up it is CUTE just as it is. Well I did take a speck off the handle. More princess Natalie. This one was croped.
  2. You're right. Any better? I thought less spiders would be better also.
  3. Having a little fun with my grandchildren. They really did find this little spider in their new pool and took a picture of it.
  4. Your 'Morning Play' is charming. I was thinking the 'Evil Skull' would be great for Halloween. I remember when you were working on Indiana and how much work went into it over a period of time. The work showed and it turned into a great image. It was nice of you to take the time to share some of the effort that went into the 'Evil Skull' with us.
  5. Very nice oma. My youngest daughter loves to scrapebook and she would love that.
  6. tourist nice flag and the colors are great. Looks cool. It has been raining all day and I have been making flowers.
  7. Thanks starryeyed I have been a quilter for many years. I have spent decades putting colors and shapes together. My husband says the computer is saveing him a small fortune in fabric. oma thank you, would you believe I draw with lasso select. I find it a faster way to go. look forward to seeing your rose. You can see how lasso select would work well on something like this:
  8. I just love dropping by your gallery! You make me laugh and you are very good at manpulation also. Funny stuff! Sorry if I have said that before, no doubt I'll say it again in the future.
  9. topezia the gingerbread men are delightful and your abstracted reminds me of burnished metal. Nice work. graphyt very pleasing image. oma I think I prefer Crimson's version in gold. I am editing my post to put this image here because I really have not a clue were to put it. I think it is abstract but it was a modification/manipulation of a fractal and it resembles a branch so maybe realistic. (?) At any rate I was just playing around hopeing it looked like a painting.
  10. worldnewser that fruit looks good enough to eat Crimson I think if you work on that a little more you have the start of a very nice image oma that is a lovely image. Very artsy. The grapes turning into flowers. I hear you. Boy has that happen to me. You and I don't always see eye to eye on color but I love the contrast in this one. Just occured to me that I don't even know what is on the page before this. I'll have to catch up.
  11. Thanks topezia. There was a time when I would get confused but not so much anymore. Also I have been know to exceed pdn's cache memory but it taught me to remember the first rule of the computer when working on anything that you don't want to lose. Save early and often Back in the day I worked on Lotus 1 2 3 a lot and [ /file save ] was my friend. That must have been one of the first big programs. You could work for hours on Lotus 1 2 3 and if you closed before you saved you lost everything. I love it when that little screen pops up and ask me if I want to save.

I took a good look at the larger image. 'Burn'in down the house'. Nice work! Now you can build a camp fire or matches would be cool or you could burn down a whole house. Oh yes, and nice 2x4's.
  13. Welcome to the forum! Well done, it's a very sweet image.
  14. While making my latest image these were saved along the way. Jumble is a plugin that Curtis made that I love. He said,"I can't see this plugin getting used a lot but I thought it was a cool idea, again, it was just something I wanted to do to get more familiar with Visual Studio and the plugin template". I for one use it and I'm glad he made it. I wanted to share how I sometimes work building on a simple image while trying to put them all together to come up with what I would call a very busy but I hope pleasing end result. And this is my end result: It is chaotic and ordered at the same time. Much how I feel my life has been of late. I was wondering if I work in an odd way while doing abstracts or if others work in a similar way? I never have just one file open. For this I had three files open all with multiple layers, saving imiges I like and importing them into another open file along the way until I get where I am going which is not alway something I know when I start doing an abstract. Very unlike how I work when I am doing a realistic image.
  15. Thank You! Couldn't do without my dents and ripples. Smiles!
  16. worldnewser nice to see I am not the only one doing catles, nice cjmc... beautiful image topezia your work is getting very good Wither great texture 007 Nab I to love to play with gradients and blend modes.

Thanks Maybe I ask which wacom? FYI, I'm using the one on the left. http://www.wacom.com/bambootablet/ If anyone is using the same one and able to make it work with PDN, I'm all ears! :!: Mine is a CTE-440. Pretty bottom of the line I think as far as pen tablets go. My son-in-law has a big old thing which makes mine look quite lame indeed. However size doesn't matter if I can't get the hang of the thing. Or maybe size does matter my cursor is always in the wrong spot. I'm no computer wiz but my guess would be that there is something about the way yours is setup that prevents it from working in pdn as mine and Blooper's seem to. Mine has been setting on my desk collecting dust. I supose I'll have to put some time in if I want to learn to use it. We just have an interest in your getting it to work in pdn because we want to see your work. I would consider it a personal loss if you didn't get this glitch fixed as I am not to familar with dA.
  19. Tourist love the A&W. Wish we still had one by us. We do but it is not the same. It is I think, part of a 'Toco Bell'. Also thank you, I do love color. Not much color in this but I did put a lot of work into it. I don't know if anyone else feels this way but I am sometimes afraid to try something because I have told myself I can't do it. I have always said I can't do faces. I decided to cut myself some slack and at least try. It has consumed me for days and taught me much. She is not perfect but not bad for a first try.
  20. Thanks for the tip LFC4EVER. I didn't realize da had tutorials as I have not spent much time there but I will look around. I winged it with the hair. I have so had it with this girl. I leave her here for now. I flattened her forehead some, removed some hair and tried to add some texture, made her nose a little bigger, added some more highlighting and gave her red lips. In my file she is now called 'Red Lips'.
  21. Well now I know to look under author when looking for your gallery and not at the title. You're to funny! Smiles!
