  1. Wow indeed, 343 pages. I have thumbed through many of them. I love seeing what others have been able to do with PDN. I sometimes feel intimidated by their wonderful images. I have worked my way through 4 tutorials now and I'm feeling a little more at easy. This was the first tutorial I did. I had a little trouble following direction. I had a home-economics teacher that would say, "If you can read and follow directions, you can cook". Well I am still working on the "follow directions" part.
  2. To all who write plugins and author tutorials I would like to say thank you. I love this wonderful PDN but I know without all the great plugins and well written tutorials I would be lost. I have never experienced a forum before or a chat room for that matter. The patience I find many of you have to answer questions is gratifying. I come here everyday and I don't mean to lurk. I'm just taking it all in and working on tutorials (with some succes). I am learning so much more than just how to use PDN from you. Thank You janettsue
  3. Wow! You guys are good. Even after the sound gets here you still look bright. Thanks so much the kittens are safe for today.
  4. I hate asking question that have a "DUH" factor. I can find my own way with many things but it is the easy stuff that is the hardest to find an answer to. Somebody help me before I start stabbing baby kittens please. I closed my color wheel and don't know how to open it again. Next month my computer will be 1 year old. The first question I had a burning desire to know the answer to was, "Do you leave your computer on or turn it off?". I have come a long way since then but the questions I want to ask most still have that 'DUH' factor. Just so you know. I can download the plugins, I can get them in the right folder, I can even unblock them. I am on such a learning curve my mind is numb. I have so many questions. My next thing is zipped files but I am going to try and find the answers myself before I ask.
  5. This is what I have to show for my efforts. I am happy with it. Tomorrow 3D picture cube. http://www.mediafire.com/imageview.php? ... gv&thumb=4 http://www.mediafire.com/imageview.php? ... t0&thumb=4 Would love to hear what you think.
  6. I think tags are a great idea and would be appreciated by all. I have been fooling around with my paint.net. There isn't anyone who should have to be exposed to the mess I have made but it has all been done in the pursuit of knowledge. I will take your advice to heart and keep on doing trial and error. Thanks for explaining about the 'sticky' tutorials. Let the adventure begin. Perhaps I will comprehend more than I imagine.
  7. Can you recommend 3 or 4 tutorials for the novice to begin with that would facilitate learning? I have done one for putting 4 images on one page. It seemed well suited to beginners. How about "Picture Filmstripe". Could anyone rate it's difficulty for the novice?
