  1. Thank you so much @Gooney, @Racerx and @Cleopatra Sasha for your very kind words . My latest Portrait ........ the indominable Angelina Jolie: Sorry - it takes a while to download when you click on the thumb, as I posted a larger-than-usual image on PB .
  2. Hi Saif and Welcome to the forum . I think you may have become confused with the instructions in Step 3. 1. After you draw the black and white lines on their own layer, you must then Gaussian Blur the layer and merge this layer with the grey #808080 layer. 2. You must then Copy and Paste the 'merged' layer into a new layer of it's own on top. 3. Uncheck all the other layers except the above new copy and pasted layer. Go to Image and Flatten and save this file to desktop (or a folder) as a .png. 4. Now 'Undo' your Flatten which is done by clicking the bottom blue arrow :Undo: in the History window. Now everything returns as before. 5. Make sure the black lines layers are 'unchecked'. 6. Go to the Flag layer and then do Alpha Displacement and continue the tutorial. (Also make sure the Displacement box is checked as well). I hope this helps you. Good luck!
  3. I spent the WHOLE weekend trawling the forum looking for that link @EER - as I just knew it was the same one you'd posted way-back-when . Great piece @Gooney
  4. Hi @cubsterky and Welcome to the forum . If you upload the image to PDN and Crop the whole image to Selection, which then sets the canvas size, then you can: 1. Use the lasso tool to outline the brown splat and go to Edit & Copy. 2. Make a new layer and Paste - it will then be exactly the same size as what you copied. 3. Also, when the lasso tool is still selected you can move the 'nubs' (with Shift held down on your computer which will keep the image constant) you can stretch it to any size you wish. I hope this is of help.
  5. Thank so much @Midora Martin Oesika for this Plugin which looks like it'll be very useful .
  6. Ahhh - Magic - no pun intended . Thanks so much Midora for that advice, which did the trick by adding a bacground color. I learned something new today .
  7. Why am I getting such bad 'jaggies' on this animated carpet? I used this Flag tutorial to bend the carpet - could this be because the image is now 'bent' ? I even tried to add solid lines to the carpet, but still had no luck Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
  8. I tried to do this earlier, with the magic wand on both layers, each with a different tolerance, but the outcome was awful as the images supplied by @nikini are so very small. I don't think it's possible with such minute images - but I could be wrong .
  9. Super new additions @Seerose - so colorful and vibrant. I love the Bow .... so pretty and I also love the 5th one which, to me, looks like the inside of a shell
  10. Yes, I just tried it in v4 and it doesn't work
  11. Hi Cascraft. Did you read this: Also, when you save the Plugin it goes into the File TYPE folder and not Effects.
  12. Scheez - she'd used too much eyelash glue last night ............ now fixed .
  13. Congratulations @Midora and thank you - I'm off to play again .
  14. Hello Kris - As yet, TR does not have an Alpa Cutter but he does have an Alpha Cutter and you can download his latest version from here. I hope you have better luck opening this one. Be sure to download the correct one.
  15. Oh NO @Racerx - please don't leave us .............. I know that @Chimay has to do his job (I live in dread that I will ever have to do this in the LBC section) but I'm sure he did this with heavy heart . Your entry is beautiful, so why don't you just 'un-animate it' and leave it there. Please, please reconsider - you have been a great new, interesting, talented and fun new member and you can't go anywhere .
  16. @Sasha - I made a tutorial here to get one started with this fun plugin. As for the more intricate animations, what I did was open Midora's PDN file in paint.net and study his layers and times. Yes, they are complex, but one then gets a general idea of how it works with the layers and also with the Sprites.
  17. 100% PDN with aircraft brush from here.
  18. Thank you very much @Skully, @Red, @Helen and @Seerose. I've now 'tweaked' it a bit as @Midora updated the Plugin. It's been fun playing with it .
  19. Wow! That was a fast update Midora and thank you very much. Although I've changed the background to a plain blue, I think that when I used a Gradient, it made matters worse. I've noticed sometimes in making images in PDN that 'banding' occurs even then. Sometimes it works and other times it doesn't. Anyway, I've now tweaked the Easter Bunny in your newer version and I think it looks much better. Have a Happy Easter and I hope you get to eat plenty of chocolate, as I am going to do! As well as hot cross buns .
  20. Thank you @Seerose Happy Easter everyone. I made this with Midora's Animate Plugin which is in 'development' and is so much fun to play with. This is 100% PDN done with the Easter bunny/basket images I made last year. Sadly the quality is not very sharp and I should have made it much smaller. Edit: Midora is to help out with the 'banding' problem of the background. When his update is available, I'll re-do it! As I said ....... the Plugin is in development and I really should have used a transparent Background.
  21. I will look forward to any new versions, and instructions of course will be most helpful. Meanwhile ............ a little picture for Easter. 100% PDN including your Plugin!
