The problem comes from the fact that you are mixing color modes. When you select a color using a hex code, you are using the RGB color space to define the color. When you move the V slider, you are using the HSV color space to define the color. The problem arises because there is not a one-to-one ratio between the RGB and HSV color spaces. The slight differences in hex code are a result of the conversion from HSV color to RGB color. If you wish to have a "lock" on the hex code values, restrict yourself to only adjusting the color using the R, G, and B sliders.

In step 2, I said to "Shift-Click" the blue area. If you hold down the shift key while clicking in the blue area, it will only take 1 click.

You can simulate the Star Wars text crawl with standard paint.net (no plugins required). Just type your text on a separate layer and use the Layer > Rotate / Zoom menu.

@Pratyush, the OP asked about how to do it WITHOUT using the color fill tool.

There are several ways to do this. The easiest of which is like this: 1. Click on the magic wand tool: 2. Shift-Click in the blue area 3. Choose a new color in the color docker window 4. Press the Backspace key on your keyboard

If my memory serves me correctly, Rick once explained that adding new blend modes would break the .pdn file structure. He would prefer never to do that.

Honestly, it really doesn't matter what the icon is; people will get used to anything.

All of your example images show a candle's flame. Why not use one of those as your icon?

Here's what it looks like in landscape: Still, there are no scrollbars... so I can't scroll the plugin listings. I also get the same crash when typing in the keywords box. It also crashes if I try to select an Author.

After the page loads, this is what it looks like on the iPhone (6s Plus): There are no scroll bars, so I can't see all of the search options and I can't see the list of effects. Two finger scrolling doesn't work. Zooming doesn't help. I click on "Keywords" and my keyboard comes up. I press the letter "F" and I get this screen:

Add a new layer. Place your water mark text on that layer. Press F4 to edit this layer's properties. Reduce the Opacity of this layer. Click OK to finalize.
