Thanks! That one is for my Master of Science in Database Administration. I also have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. My current job is a Full Stack Developer for Intel. (Full stack just means that I do everything from planning, to database design/implementation, to the UI (user interface). I generally work in SQL, C#, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, etc. As for the military, I was in the USCG Reserves for 12 years. I joined when I was 17. I recently participated in one of those photo challenges on FaceBook, so I thought I'd post my pictures here for all to see. All images were processed in paint.net. The challenge was to define yourself in seven black-and-white photos... no people and no descriptions. You only see all colors in "More >>" mode of the color docker. Expand the window to see all colors. Now, for the screenshot you shared, I see 6 rows of colors with 16 colors per row for a total of 96 colors. Add a new layer and paint on that layer... then you can adjust the opacity of that layer.

If you have my plugin pack installed, it is. Put the image you wish to copy the alpha from on the clipboard and run the "Effects > Object > Paste Alpha" effect.

Rick and I are working this out with the Microsoft Store team. Why don't we wait and see what they propose before we make a ton of changes in paint.net and our plugin packages.

When drawing with the shape tool, be sure to explore the various options on the tool bar:

Fair warning: Microsoft HATES the fact that Rick has users putting code in the My Documents directory and may make him change that. That's what we're currently working with them about...

I've already rewritten my plugin installer to work with the store version. I'm working with Microsoft to get it into the Windows Store. Once I've done it, I will be sharing my code with the other plugin authors so they can do the same thing. Just be aware, this is going to take a while. Microsoft isn't known for moving quickly on anything.

Can you zip up a tif image that you know will fail and post it here?

Are you using the Classic or Windows Store version of paint.net?
