  1. Well, that was your first mistake. Rule number 1: When buying a computer, be sure to buy one that will run the software you need.
  2. The easiest way is to install Windows first, then install Paint.NET.
  3. To help you make your book title fancy, you may want to try this plugin: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/115953-creative-text-pro-v11-by-boltbait-and-welshblue-updated-february-16-2020/ followed by Object Shadow in this plugin pack: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/113220-boltbaits-plugin-pack-for-pdn-v4210-and-beyond-updated-february-23-2020/
  4. I recommend installing my plugin pack and see if it will do. Link in sig.
  5. I contacted GitHub technical support and received the following message: I would encourage everyone harmed by this idiot to file a DMCA takedown notice.
  6. This is a popular feature request: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/2940-popular-feature-requests/
  7. This is working as designed. If you want to not have the moved transparent pixels replace other pixels, you must cut the selection (Ctrl-x) from one layer and paste it to another layer (Ctrl-shift-v) before moving it.
  8. Paint.NET works with the fonts that are installed on your system. So, just download and install new fonts, restart Paint.NET and you should be all set.
  9. If you want to rotate only what you have selected, you need to use the selection handles.
  10. I will say it again: The second image you posted has a bit-depth of 8. It is no wonder you don't have a smooth transparent gradient. You need to be sure your bit-depth on the save screen is set to 32 or "auto".
  11. Be sure the bit depth on the save screen is set to 32-bit or “auto”.
  12. For those people stuck using Paint.NET v3.5.11, you can download this: Download If you're using the store version of Paint.NET or v4.2.10+, GO HERE INSTEAD! Sorry, not the "Pro" version. If you want that, you'll have to upgrade to Paint.NET v4.2.10+ CreativeText.zip
  13. Eli is asking about this setting: You might have changed it from "Solid Color" to some other setting. If that's not the problem, we'll need to see a screenshot of the problem.
  14. If you don't like the way your post turns out, you are free to edit it until you are happy with the way it looks.
  15. It was probably a problem on your end. If that ever happens again, clear your cache and try your favorite site again.
  16. Your installation of Paint.NET has become broken. Run this tool to remove it, then try installing Paint.NET again.
  17. Paint.NET will always default to an image format that won’t lose image fidelity. It chooses PDN format for images with layers and PNG for single layer images. This way you don’t lose image quality when saving. If you wish to save as JPG (which is lossy) you need to make that choice, every time. That way, when your image degrades over time, it was by your conscious choice—Paint.NET can not be blamed.
  18. I’m not sure what this means: But, try following these instructions: https://boltbait.com/pdn/InstallingEffects.php
