CodeLab 5.0 Released This is only for Paint.NET 4.2+! HUGE update today... Changes: ▪ Added TXT file support (toe_head2001) ▪ Added File Type plugin development support (toe_head2001) ▪ Added Shape (xaml) editing support (toe_head2001) ▪ File New Templates completely rewritten to allow multi-effect pipeline (BoltBait) ▪ Lots of bug fixes, refactorings, and optimizations Grab the CodeLab DLL here: https://www.boltbait.com/pdn/CodeLab/ Screenshots: How to access the new features we added to CodeLab: New Effect screen: It is now possible to string together as many Effects, Pixel Ops, Blend Modes, Surface Fills, and Surface Copies as you want. CodeLab will then write the code for you to combine all this into an effect. Now, we understand that this is going to lead to an explosion of new plugins that just throw everything together into one UI. As mods, we will be reviewing plugins posted in the Plugin Forum and deleting those that just aren't up to standards. We don't want to discourage everyone from making their own plugins for their own machine. But, let's keep the quality up in our plugin forum. (Remember, noobs should be using plugins, not writing them.) New Shape screen: This is not an inclusion of the Shape Maker plugin. This is simply an editor for the actual .xaml shape files that Paint.NET uses. It includes syntax highlighting and code completion. CodeLab is now a complete replacement for the KAXAML editor in this tutorial. Editing text files (nothing special, no syntax highlighting, just a place to keep notes, etc.): Designing and Implementing File Type Plugins: And, with this release, MY wish list for CodeLab is complete. Enjoy! 😎

You have sharpening enabled in the NVIDIA Control Panel. Turn off that feature and you should be good.

I see your point. I will change the one that lives in “Effects > Photo” to Combined Photo Effects. That should clear up the confusion.
-
The other one is actually called Photo Adjustments.
-
This one is in your Adjustments menu. The other one is in your Effects > Photo menu. They do different things.
-
I was adjusting some photographs the other day and kept having to toggle between the Brightness/Contrast adjustment and the Hue/Saturation/Lightness adjustment to get just the right colors. So... I combined all of the most common adjustments onto one screen: Then, I bundled in my Black and White+ plugin. NO MORE TOGGLING! Until I add this to my pack, download here: CombinedAdjustments.zip Install the normal way, unzip the download to your desktop and run the "Install" batch file. You'll find this in your Adjustments menu. Enjoy! 😎

OK, so zip one of those file up and post it here. Right click on the file, Send to, Compressed (zipped) folder.

Maybe the files that won't load have the wrong extension on them? Try this plugin to see: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/31715-whats-it-tools-effect-plugin/

Cannot save a particular PDN file as JPG, PDN OK

Show us the error message. -
@TrevorOutlaw, the slider would more difficult to work with because it would have to be a float slider (since you can enter decimals into that drop-down box) and it would be difficult to get right on the integer values with only a slider to adjust the size.

If you have my plugin pack installed, you can do it this way: Open the graphic Select all, copy Make your edits Effects > Object > Paste alpha (clipboard alpha) Now you have applied your original alpha to your new image.

Looks like the VSIX package is not compatible with VS2017. Can you upgrade to VS2019? -

Print Error Messages (Paint.Net Version 4.1.5)
BoltBait replied to ScootCoot's topic in Troubleshooting & Bug Reports
Yes, that's what it indicates. That's why we had you try that... It takes Paint.NET out of the loop and shows that the error is within your OS. Well, neither are we. That's why we suggested a generic "sfc /scannow" in a DOS window... it checks for damaged windows files. You should be trying to get help from your printer manufacturer. There may be some incompatibility between their printer driver and the specific windows version you're running. It really is up to them to get you working again. I would suggest going to your printer's web site and downloading the most recent drivers from there and see if that helps. Good luck. -
Print Error Messages (Paint.Net Version 4.1.5)
BoltBait replied to ScootCoot's topic in Troubleshooting & Bug Reports
2 solutions have been presented in this thread: use the printing plugin and fix your windows—both of which you dismissed. I’m not sure we can do anything to help you at this point as the error lies within your installation of windows. It is NOT a Paint.NET problem. -

You would think so, wouldn’t you... 😂 J/K. It’s on the File > New screen as an option. -
