  1. wwarsaw, to install plugins, you need to follow the instructions on this page: http://boltbait.googlepages.com/install Once installed, restart Paint.NET and look in the Effects > Blurs submenu for Feather.
  2. Nice. I like the result. You might want to give your layers logical names. All of your layers are named the same thing.
  3. I believe that saving 256 color BMP files will be added soon. I think I saw it on a roadmap somewhere... can't find it now, though.
  4. Forgive me, I meant a dll file or whatever it is. I did all the steps in the installing a plugin thread also, and I get the same results Just follow the instructions on this page: http://boltbait.googlepages.com/install That sounds like a great plugin request! BB, want to write this one? Hmmm... that gives me an interesting idea... I wonder if a file type plugin could be written that would "open" a dll file by copying it to the effects folder. This would allow someone to right-click on an effects dll and choose "open with Paint.net" to install the effect.
  5. By, "shows everything" I mean, no screen updates are made during the second half of the load process, then I see the screenshot I posted above. You're right that the system is paging like crazy during that time, but the thumbnails never show. Even if I scroll the list back-and-forth they stay blank. If I click on a blank thumbnail it does update at that time.
  6. My system: Core Duo 1 Gig RAM It loads about 1/2 the images, pauses for a long time, then shows everything.
  7. How about this plugin: http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=4085
  8. Seeing your message, I tried it again and the same thing happened. Different ones were blank this time. BTW, all images were 2560x1920 jpg files from my digital camera.
  9. I dropped 21 files into Paint.NET and selected "Paste in to new image". When it was done, it left me with several empty thumbnails: This was only a minor annoyance because when I clicked on the empty thumbnail it did switch to the proper image and the thumbnail was then refreshed for that image.
  10. Save your files as .GIF format and the picture will be reduced to 256 colors.
  11. OK, so you cleared this up for me in a private message. He is missing the Clear History button. MALER, Rick has stated that this function is no longer needed... so he removed it.
  12. Your best bet is to retake the picture. Seriously. You might be able to clean it up a little bit, but I don't think you'll get it to the point that you're happy with it.
  13. I can't understand what you want to do. Perhaps you could explain it another way... ?
  14. I was on every page of every thread. Evar. Yeah, I believe it.
  15. I want to be able to turn it over so I can see myself in the chrome back.
  16. CMD, don't forget... with my plugin, you can go the oher direction: http://boltbait.googlepages.com/alphamask
  17. This is exactly what I did. I did not do the alpha mask import plugin because XLT said he was saving in GIF format... which only supports transparent/opaque pixels. Had he said that he wanted to save in PNG format, I would have suggested the alpha mask import plugin or feathering the edges.
  18. You mean like this? If so, I'm not sure what you were doing wrong, but you can right-clidk on this one, save it to your computer and use it. 8)
  19. 1. The gradient effect is the fastest (only?) way to do HSV gradients. 2. Probably because its new.
  20. Don't get all excited... it sucks. http://boltbait.googlepages.com/delcolor
