  1. Here is a solid list of plugins to get you started: http://boltbait.googlepages.com/ Basically, just look around on the tutorials section of this board for things you want to try. Most tutorials include a list of required plugins. Download the ones you need and go from there. Welcome to the forums!
  2. Any tutorial that uses my Ink Sketch effect gets sticky'd... Just kidding, this is a great tutorial! Nice job.
  3. BTW, DAVEMC, I updated the feather plugin to have two modes. I added a mode that makes the edges transparent as you requested. Follow the link above to get an updated copy of the effect dll.
  4. Oh look! It's a big box of combs!
  5. Works for me. EDIT: Hmmm... now where'd I put my old wallpaper? Oh, here it is: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/54814964/

  7. I know that CorelDraw has a built-in Lens Flair effect. Works pretty good too. If I had the manual steps to create one, I might be able to automate it.
  8. Try this plugin: http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=2325
  9. OK, I understand. You can see from the picture of my palette above that it is possible to order the colors in your palette. I ordered mine manually. I did not set each color individually using the color picker tool, I entered them by hex value in the palette file itself. Open the palette folder (as shown in the screenshot above). You can see any palette files you've saved. Open one of the files using notepad. Inside, you'll see lots of hex values of your selected colors. Just use notepad's cut-and-paste functions to rearrange the colors the way you want them. Save the file and reselect your palette to reload it.
  10. You can name your palette files. Then, they show up in the list in alphabetical order. What else did you have in mind? BTW, you can see my palette file here: http://boltbait.googlepages.com/palette
  11. On the search results page, simply use Ctrl-Click on each topic. This will open the link in a new window.
  12. Nice job. This is what my plugin should have been in the first place! 8)
  13. instead. Thanks. I updated my web page.
  14. It would help if you posted your source code. BTW, if your effect crashes when PDN is trying to load it, PDN will simply not load it. PDN will not crash or give an error message in this case.
  15. No one gets kicked off the forum for accidentally posting in the wrong forum. I'll just move this for you. 8) Now, to answer your question... You'll need to read this tutorial: http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=3172 And, if that one doesn't work for you, read this one: http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=4841 And, you'll need this plugin: http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=2498

  17. Well, why didn't you just ask me then! That will open a window... store the file in that directory. More information here: http://boltbait.googlepages.com/palette Enjoy. 8)
  18. The art of writing forum? I have posted some of my creative writing here: http://www.fictionpress.com/~boltbait I posted a song, a poem, and two short stories. I haven't posted anything in a long time. I should dig up some of my stuff and post it.

  20. Try this menu: Window > Restore window locations
  21. The type of functionality is available in the Gradient tool. When you draw a gradient, before you finalize, grab (with the left button) one of the nubs, while holding down the left button click and hold the right button and drag both nubs at the same time. I think it would be nice to be able to move a line the same way.
  22. Also, it is possible to do it using this plugin: http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=3135 "Way easier than brushing..." 8)
