  1. I have 12 fonts in the list above Arial. So.... it works for me. Are you sure that the fonts you expect to see are TTF (True Type Fonts)? Paint.NET only supports True Type Fonts.
  2. Why are you not able to download this? Maybe I could help you with this.
  3. Which plugins did you try? Some plugins show up under different menus. For example, the Color Balance effect in my sig shows up under the Adjustments menu, not the Effects menu. Did you remember to "unblock" them? (If you don't know what "unblock" means, read this page: Installing Effects ) Are you running the latest version of Paint.NET? Many effects will not run on older versions of Paint.NET.
  4. You may find this plugin helpful: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2325 Hope this helps.
  5. Do what? http://www.dilbert.com/comics/dilbert/a ... 70929.html
  6. What he ^^ said. I'm going to close this thread in order to nudge you toward the other thread.
  7. Couldn't you just Shift-Click in a transparent area of the top layer and then press Ctrl-I to invert the selection?
  8. Try this menu: Window > Tools Or, you could press the F5 key. If that doesn't work, try this menu: Window > Reset Window Locations
  9. That technique never works. It is better to use PNG graphics and use transparent areas.
  10. Seriously, THIS is the easy and perfect way. I'm not sure what else you're looking for.
  11. Welcome to the forum. Please read the posting rules before making another post. Posting Rules Thread closed.
  12. I would recommend hiring someone from Disney who draws those things for a living.
  13. Paint.NET uses the GDI+ graphics system which supports TrueType Fonts only.
  14. Try these plugins: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=4799 viewtopic.php?f=16&t=6526 viewtopic.php?f=16&t=4828 viewtopic.php?f=16&t=20533
  15. Make sure you don't have an active selection ( :SelectAll: etc.) when trying to use the text tool. If you try to type outside of your current selection it won't let you--nothing shows up. Just press ESC or click :Deselect: before clicking
  16. That is called Meta data. Rick has already said that a future version of Paint.NET will have a Meta data editor. For now, you have already discovered a good way to clean it out. Although, be careful, some of those jpg cleaners clean out too much information (like width and height of the picture) which may render it uneditable in Paint.NET. Another way is to select your work and copy it to a new document before saving. Ctrl-C, Ctrl-Alt-V
  17. What?! Of course you can see it. It is below ALL of my posts! The dominoes of my sig pop right out of your monitor! You can almost reach out and grab them!
  18. Please remember the board rules that the overall size of the sig can not be larger than 500px wide and 150px tall. Oh, and here is one that I did:
  19. Try this plugin: http://boltbait.com/pdn/shapes 8)
  20. Don't be so impatient as to bump your thread that quick. That's extremely rude. Is it just me, or has that been happening a lot more in recent days? Maybe an addition to the rules? Good idea. I just added rule #25 and #26.
  21. Try reading this thread: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=3393
