  1. I think what you're looking for is a program called InkScape.
  2. Paint.NET is a raster graphics editor, not a vector editor. For that, try the free program InkScape. Using InkScape, you can output images into PNG format for further editing in Paint.NET.
  3. I fixed your thread title. Next time, please try to pick a better one. "Suggestion" doesn't carry enough meaning by itself.
  4. Possible: http://www.boltbait.com/pdn/CodeLab/help/tutorial4.asp Not possible.
  5. Corel Draw comes with many fonts that it adds to your system. Paint.NET does not come with any fonts. If you want, you can go to a site like dafont.com to download fonts for use in Paint.NET. This includes Comic Sans (which comes free with Corel Draw).
  6. remy97, have you tried some of the plugins? For example, my plugin pack http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/8318- includes 2 Feather plugins. They defiantly help when making composite images. You can adjust the amount of the cloning brush by adjusting the "Transparency alpha" level of the primary color: Try setting it down to 50 before doing skin retouches, for example. Note for Rick: The text on the help page http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/CloneStamp.html should probably be edited to mention this functionality. It is not very discoverable on its own.
  7. This does not "feel" like a bug in Paint.NET. I'm closing this thread. If you still need to discuss it, post your issues in this thread: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/18128-
  8. I would recommend saving your work occationally. It is only a matter of pressing a single button. BTW, this is a feature request, not a bug report. Moving...
  9. That one had "issues". It no longer exists. For the same functionality, learn to use Selection Feather instead. (For more information, read the posts at the top of this page.)
  10. In this case, it doesn't matter what format you save it in. When you upload it to Facebook, they're going to convert it to JPG format for you. If you have an issue with that, take it up with Facebook.
  11. You could probably just configure this plugin: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/13242- to do what you want.
  12. Try this plugin: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/18128-
  13. I'm waiting for these lines to cross: http://www.google.com/trends?q=paint.net,+photoshop&ctab=0&geo=all&date=all&sort=1
  14. Did you restart Paint.NET after installing the font?
  15. Here are some that may help you: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/18968- http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/11514- http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/8375- Enjoy.
  16. Glad you like them. Now that you've figured out how to install plugins, check out the rest of the pinned plugins in the plugin forum. I think you'll be amazed what you can add to Paint.NET.
  17. The Paint.NET user interface is not designed to be modified by users. Sorry.
  18. I recommend you check out Tanel's Photo and Color plugin pack: "Shadow / Highlight Recovery" and "Local Contrast Enhancement" might be what you're looking for.
  19. This post is over 3 years old. Let it die.
  20. Yup. It is a problem in both my web site and CodeLab. I'll see if I can't fix both.
  21. If you are using a 32 bit operating system, I highly recommend upgrading to 64 bit. The speed improvement is noticeable.
  22. Reading this page may help you understand: http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/WorkingWithLayers.html
  23. I agree with pyrochild, the font menu scrolls the way I expect when using the scroll wheel.
  24. Paint.NET is not designed to be used in this way.
