  1. Donna, this is a limitation of Paint.NET. Plugins simply use the built-in controls in order to build their user interface. The built-in color wheel control does not allow for hex input so therefore it is not available in this plugin. Now, if Rick changes the way the built-in color wheel control works, all effects with a color wheel would automatically have it available. So, this is really a suggestion that you should post in the General Questions forum.
  2. Try this plugin: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/16347-circle-text/
  3. Click the gear in the upper right corner and turn off "Hardware accelerated rendering". See if that fixes the problem.
  4. My suggestion: Get rid of Norton's. It is the worst virus scanner... by far. Try this instead: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security-essentials-download
  5. So, post a crash log so that Rick knows where to look for the error.
  6. Have you tried this...? Start > Control Panel > Mouse
  7. Try reading this: http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/WorkingWithLayers.html
  8. Honestly, I think you're better off using Microsoft Word's Equation Editor. Look under Insert > Equation.
  9. Ishi, this is not the thread to request new features. Please start a new thread for that.
  10. You may have been thinking of Microsoft Paint. That's the way it works--it has to as it doesn't have layers.
  11. That's always the way it has worked. What you want to do is place image B on it's own layer.
  12. Try this fix: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/28852-line-jumpsskips-to-top-of-window-while-drawing/
  13. Are you sure you're saving the file in a file format that preserves the transparency? Those formats include PNG and GIF. If you are using one of those formats, be sure to select the proper bit depth (32 or auto). More help here: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/12189-how-to-save-your-images-under-different-file-types/
  14. To avoid this issue, ALWAYS save your source code (File > Save as) before building to DLL. The reason for this is that CodeLab uses the saved filename as the namespace string. EDIT: I think I'm going to put a warning in CodeLab if you build before saving the file. Look for this in the next update.
  15. Draw the first circle. Use trail to copy it horizontally, then use trail again to copy the first row vertically. Now you have 100 circles. Customize as necessary.
  16. CodeLab 2.4 Released This is only for Paint.NET 4.0! Changes: ▪ Fixed the bug described by MJW above that placed adjustments in the wrong submenu. ▪ May have fixed the bug CentauriBoy and midora reported above relating to loading dynamic assemblies.* Grab the CodeLab DLL here: http://www.boltbait.com/pdn/CodeLab/ *I can't reproduce on my machine. I did put a try/catch block around assembly loading to see if that fixes the issue.
  17. Yeah, I messed that code up the last time I was in there. I'll fix and post a new version tomorrow. Sorry about that!
  18. I installed this at work and used it to make several images (I was working on documentation all day, yuck). Did not see any issues.
  19. You might also try this plugin: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/5578- It can do amazing things with dark photos.
  20. No. That's the point of having a plugin system--it allows Paint.NET to do amazing things that the original programming team never imagined. You're welcome. Yes, that dpy is one smart guy!
  21. Try this plugin: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/16347-circle-text/
  22. It was... 8 years ago when this thread was started.
  23. I used to own a motorcycle. Sold it when I got married. I miss that bike.
