  1. This was fun. http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/9384/lookingfromnowhereconte.png 100% Paint.NET. Thank you Possum for all the time you gave us to do this.
  2. This SOTW just looked like a lot of fun. I just had to try. I created everything myself. Other then the fonts of course. So no renders or stock used.
  3. That effect does give a nice look to that stained glass. The way it's shaded it looks like theres more going on behind the glass then just light shining through. I know what you mean about the bits of white. It's just that some of them are a little jagged along the edges. Maybe you could straighten them up a little or better yet, feather them some. What ever you decide, it looks good so far.
  4. The original stock for this picture was a prehistoric wall painting from a cave. (In France no less) I got the stock from here: http://uncivilsociety.org/2008/06/cave-comics.html Mastodon's rule! Well at least 20,000 years ago they did.
  5. This is a really good tut Dave. It's just that I can't find in it when we are suppose to save the "mask png" file. I believe it would be at the end of step 4. I'm not in the best of health right now and hope that I just didn't miss it somewhere. If I did, Sorry.
  6. Congratulations to ya for your win Max Power. Those were some really healthy looking flies you had there. In all seriousness, that was a well done piece you entered. Good luck to you in the next contest.
  7. You looked kind of lonely here Max. Thought that I'd give it a try. I call this one "Fork in the road." I used no stocks. I took the picture of my poor old beat-up fork myself. I guess I don't need to tell you that I drew the rest in PDN. Enjoy!
  8. But yours is more fun. I think it could be good for doing textures and such IMO. This is done with 11 layers of differently drawn black and white gradients. Each layer blending mode was set to difference. The Burninate plug-in was used on the last layer (last gradient).
  9. I bet it's tough just trying to do the little things in life when you have gauze taped to the roof of your mouth.
  10. Hello Paintdotstarter. I was wondering if this is something like what you was going after. If it is, it was fairly simple to make. I'll tell you how if it's what you want.
  11. Hi. Well, here's my try. My only stock - http://www.neuro-economics.org/brains/regions The bugs were all drawn by my daughter (Poodoo) and I do have her permission to use them.
  12. I don't even have enough teeth to bite. You might try this link and see if it helps you. viewtopic.php?f=15&t=3172 Or if that one doesn't do what you want. viewtopic.php?f=15&t=4841
  13. I'd like this to be one of mine also. It's 100% Paint.net People at peace.
