mbettik
I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to make planet like pictures with Paint.net similar to these at DDOI and Flickr: http://wvs.topleftpixel.com/07/06/20/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/joshsommer ... g_planets/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/sammphoto/ ... wnplanets/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/patrickhof ... g_planets/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/andrewnemo ... wnplanets/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/brads365da ... g_planets/ I am trying to use the [Effects > Distort > Polar Inversion] tool in Paint.net and I am not coming anywhere close to the images above. Crazy Man Dan
Are those stitched and warped images, or are those actual Panorama shots? They make cameras that take 360-degree images like that. MadJik
1.New image size 800x800 or more (must be a square) 2.Add you picture up side down in the 1/4 bottom part of the image (for 800x800, your image should be placed at 0,600 to 800,800). 3.Use the rect2polar inversion... 4.Arrange the center and the border line to have a seemless circle (the best is to have a seemless picture before the rect2polar inversion). 5.Effect/Distort/Bulge : -200px You could try to place your picture closer to the center... mbettik
Madjik-- How exactly do I do rectangular to polar conversion in Paint.net?? My version only shows one option [Effects > Distort > Polar Inversion]. I don't see an option for rectangular to polar. Also, what does this statement mean? "2.Add you picture up side down in the 1/4 bottom part of the image (for 800x800, your image should be placed at 0,600 to 800,800)." I understand that I need to resize to a square shaped image, but what does the rest of that mean?
