Is it possible to make Rectangle UN-selectable?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

with version 3 of paint .net i used to rely solely (more or less) on Rectangle without anti-alias.

I used it for quick and multiple brushes, because i draw in a style somewhat similar to 8 bit, so i need squared borders for my brush.

In this version 4 i cannot do this, because rectangle is an object selectable (for resize, rotation, etc.)

Is it possible to make Rectangle UN-selectable?

OR: can i download last version 3.x somewhere?

Thank you

Why not use a custom brush? There is an awesome plugin in this plugin pack Simon Brown's Plugins

I could do that, but i was used to draw something like 2-3 rectangle per second in some part of the drawing. Clicking on Finish or hitting Enter wouldn't be the same...

Then press Escape. That way you can draw with the right hand and commit with the left hand.

Custom brushes are similar to what i need, but not exactly the same, because every brush stroke would have the same size (until i manually change brush ize). Also, i'd need to draw perfectly straight to keep the rectangle shape.

Hitting Escape every stroke would be frustrating when i'm going fast.

Thank you, i hope to find 3.5 somewhere in the web!
