HELEN
I like the cardinal sig. It's simply cute. The alien sig is pretty scary, but very nicely done. Heat Stroke
Thanks Helen! Usually with sigs I try to go for the scary/bad <Family-friendly forum.> renders. So that time I decided to switch it up a bit. Glad you liked it! Update: My SOTW entry, no stocks and no renders: I forgot to mention that I did use a few steps from Welshblue's wood tutorial. chrisco97
Both sigs are amazing! That is one of the best wood textures I have ever seen. (Next to welshblue, of course. )

barbieq25
I must have missed commenting on the Cardinal sig here...great work! I love the contrast. I like the wooden one too. The bracing on the corners is a great touch! Quote Knowledge is no burden to carry. April Jones, 2012 Gallery My DA Gallery
Heat Stroke
I forgot to mention that I did use a few steps from Welshblue's wood tutorial. Thanks Chrisco, I did use a few steps from Welshblue's tutorial, but I can honestly say that most of it was just me messing around. My current sig was made solely on my own, and looks good as a border. But I couldnt get the background to look good and the text was blending in a lot, so I settled for a different background. This new one was a rematch! Thanks Axle for the comment and for stopping by! Thats OK Barbieq, I have been so busy, I often forget what forums I have commented on and which I still need to comment on. I feel like I am loosing control on reality! Anyway, thanks for the comments! always appreciated! Quote Wait! No matter where you go, there you are! We're all wise guys.

Heat Stroke
Sorry for the DP, Version two of the wooden sig, I tried to make it look even more realistic. and an apple made using this tutorial. ~895-graphics on DA used this tutorial and made a great picture, so I gave it a try in PDN. I only used photoshop to warp the apple at the end of the tutorial. I love photoshop's transform tools. Sorry, forgot to mention that the lightning is a stock (a couple of stocks) and I think there is one nebula too, I have to look at the PDN again... Edited January 25, 2011 by Heat Stroke Quote Wait! HELEN
The wooden sig is lovely. The screws give the whole image a "pop." The apple is really, really well done. The last two similar images are amazing! What program did you use? Heat Stroke
Thanks Helen! For the last two, I used PDN, of course . I forgot to mention that the lightning is a stock and I think there is one nebula... OK, sorry for the delay, but life got in the way. I made these two to look like the previous album covers for Celldweller some examples The lightning bolts are stocks and there is a nebula stock as well. I started this one a while ago, and there are so many layers that I lost track of what was what. Edited January 25, 2011 by Heat Stroke Quote Wait! No matter where you go, there you are! barbieq25
The apple is wonderful! I like what you have done with the album covers too. Sometimes I find it harder to use stock than just to create something new. You've done a great job! Quote Knowledge is no burden to carry. Heat Stroke
Thank you both, Chrisco and Barbieq, it means a lot! I know it Barbieq, sometimes I set out with a goal in mind, figure I cant make it 100% PDN, try using a stock and it just doesnt work. The next time I open the file and start working all PDN, it comes out great. I guess thats a good thing. I have not come across a method of creating lightning that I like yet, in tutorials and my own tinkering. When I do though, I might revisit this... Quote Wait! No matter where you go, there you are! JulioCoolio
They look pretty good!!! I should try to do something like that, create and album cover just to get more ideas sparked into my head. =) Quote Gallery Image Blog Portfolio
Heat Stroke
Thanks Julio! Its really cool to think about what a future album cover would be for a specific music artist. It gets your creative juices flowing! Here is another 'black star' picture. It was meant to be a wallpaper, but... I forgot to change the size when I started. So it stayed 800x600. I am fairly disappointed at that, but there was nothing I could do about it by the time I realized it. Edit: I would like to mention that it is 100% PDN!
