maitri
Hello! I have been working with the program for a little while and can do some basic things, but I've just run into something that is probably embarrassingly simple and yet I've just about gone crazy trying to figure it out. I am adding text to an image. That part went fine. But the text is in black only and I need white and I can find NO place to change the color of the text. You can change text type, size and all manner of things, but there's no color box to change color (that I can see???). If anyone can help me with this asap I will appreciate it greatly. Blessings and Happy Days to all, Maitri http://www.maitrisheart.com http://unimaginabledreamsmademanifest.com http://maitrisnotesquotesandflashingthoughts.com
DarkShock
You can change the color of your font using the Colors window. There's no specific special area for font color. ---- Gallery | Sig Tutorial | deviantART | Sig Videos | PhotoBucket ----D E S T I N Y
Rick Brewster
First, welcome. Second, as a rule, please make sure your thread's title matches the inquiry. We have no way of knowing from looking at "Hello Folks, I'm new here!" that you're actually asking a question about how to get things done. Most people will overlook threads with this type of title. maitri
Sorry about the subject line. I'll be more careful. This is my first time here. As to the color box... ... I don't see it anywhere. I thought maybe I had to set a second layer over the image to do the text, but I still don't see how I can change the color. Usually there's a menu something like what's to the right of this compose section and you can use any of many colors, but I don't see anywhere that might be here. Sorry for starting out in such a bumpy fashion! Myrddin
Be wary, however, that once you have finalised your text - either by hitting the 'Esc' button on your keyboard or by selecting another tool - there is no way to edit it. You will have to delete that text and begin again. (Whilst ever you have the flashing text cursor, you can edit the text's colour, size, etc., to your heart's content.) It is for this reason that it is usual practice to type any text on a new layer (Layers > Add New Layer), so it will be easier to delete and start over. Rick Brewster
By the way, you should edit your post title to reflect the question you've asked. Otherwise I'll have to lock it.
