flip
I make the texture, and then render texture > nebulous and make it look like drapes. Then I make it black and white, and set the blend mode to multiply or overlay. Quote Gallery

snogry
I thought you'd used c4d's in it. I was thinking "Wow that lighting effect is awsome... I should get him to make a tut. Oh wait. It's probably some C4D's." Once again, really, really nice work Quote | My Gallery|Acrone's Den|

flip
Thanks everyone. Here's an update. I've been trying nebula, (or whatever the plural form of nebula is) for awhile now. I can't seem to nail it down because all the tutorials need renders/photoshop. This is 100% PDN, but isn't very nebula-like. Quote Gallery
Bjarni
Maybe not Nebula-like, but it is really beautiful. Quote Bye Bye PDN!

Frontcannon
I think the plural is nebulae, at least in German I thought that every nebula came with stars? Frozenbyte's starscape tutorial had somepretty awesome nebulae, if I remember correctly. Kemaru
Try several layers clouds->dents. E: And the plural form of nebula is nebulae like Frontcannon said. jerry533482
Hey flip, I myself am trying to create a nebula tut and I could use some help. I have a rough idea, but like i said, it's rough. Do you have any ideas on making this more realistic, or any suggestions? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Nice pics by the way. Sozo
Thanks everyone. Here's an update. I've been trying nebula, (or whatever the plural form of nebula is) for awhile now. I can't seem to nail it down because all the tutorials need renders/photoshop. This is 100% PDN, but isn't very nebula-like. Looks like you have the makings of a really nice scene there. As Kemaru said, try dents and clouds, and maybe smudge some. It's rough trying to make a great nebula. As you can see in my latest space image, I skipped the nebula entirely and filled the whole screen with color.
