Ash
You should fix the outline (box) for your sun then you are done. Quote All creations Ash + Paint.NET [ Googlepage | deviantArt | Club PDN | PDN Fan ]
PrettyDarnNeat
You should fix the outline (box) for your sun then you are done. I'm sure you're right, it's my eyes going bad I guess, I can't see the sun box. I know what you're talking about though because I have seen it in other drawings, but I can't in this one. I set the layer to screen from normal but it still looks the same to me. Is it any different for you? Okay, final attempt with this one, any better? Ash
See the red line I added to the image? There. Quote All creations Ash + Paint.NET [ Googlepage | deviantArt | Club PDN | PDN Fan ]
PrettyDarnNeat
See the red line I added to the image? There. Okay, I think you must be having fun with the "going blind guy" because I don't see any red line. I had someone else look, we even both looked with a magnifier after clicking to enlarge and still don't see anything. I even adjusted the res, and contrast on my monitor, so either something's wrong with my laptop's monitor, mine and someone else's eyes are very, very bad, or it got lost somewhere in cyber-space. So can some one please point me towards the xml or to somewhere that explains the shape 3d plugin?

Shadow_n
Thank you =] Edit: I added a little galaxy thing in the corner =] not to shabby, but my zoom blur works differently to yours so the sun effect is different.

Frozen_byte
You have to download the file (with Rightclick>"Save target as...") Open P.net than start the plugin: Effects>Render>Shape 3d In the left corner of the statusbar you can save/load XML files.

Dark Thoughts
This tut is great for getting to know the tools in PDN. As a relative new user of PDN, I had a bit of trouble following some of the instructions, but I did okay, and I'm sure I picked up some skills that will continue to be useful in the future. Thanks Frozen_Byte!
Fuffuloo
Here's my attempt. I think it turned out pretty good, but I couldn't get my sun to shine as "far" as yours, even though I followed you instructions as litterally as I could. Any suggestions? Frozen_byte
Did you used the Zoom Blur Deluxe? Or the normal Zoom Blur? Zoom Blur Deluxe is quiet different and you will get better results.
Fuffuloo
I thought I used ZBDLX, but I could be mistaken. I'm making another one now, anyway. (Larger!) I'll be sure to use d-lux this time. It should work.
BelliCus
Use GauusianBlur radius: ~35 :GaussianBlur:Take another color, lower your size, add :GaussianBlur: radius: ~30. Take another color, lower your size [or don't do it], add :GaussianBlur: radius: ~25, again. Do this a couple of times, till you got this: thats mine du u know my mistake? btw verry nice tut! #1 post
Frozen_byte
Looks fine, you need to switch your Layer property to the right one! A last Blur :GaussianBlur: around 135. __ Switch Blendmode to Lighten, Opacity to 80 Do this "Clouds" again and again, till you like it. Set all layer Blendmodes to Lighten and Opacity to 80 And you have to add the "black clouds" before... So, add a new layer as always :AddNewLayer: Set primary color Black, secondary color Transparent 100% Do clouds with settings: Scale: 380 - 650 Roughness: 0.50 - 0.80 ___ Do it three times, set Blendings: First Cloud Layer: Mode: Color dogde Opacity: 255 Second Cloud Layer: Mode: Mutiply Opacity: 159 Third Cloud Layer. Mode: Mutiply Opacity: 255 ___
Chazizzle77
This tut is amazing, really good outcome and really good tut! I had the same problem as BelliCus did, but i fixed it by doing much heavier gaussian blur with a "Deluxe" zoom blur at max with high quality. Here's mine by the way . . . Quote ----------------. . . Kairyuka
Very nice tutorial, even a newbie in paint.net like me can do this I was a little bit confused about some of the steps as they seemed unnescessary, but what do I know?
