onlyggifiwin Posted October 27, 2020 Posted October 27, 2020 I want it to behave like Microsoft Paint where deleting just makes the selection turn white. I don't want delete to turn the selection area into a transparent area. This is because when I use the image in a pdf, I get annoying boxes like such Quote
Pixey Posted October 27, 2020 Posted October 27, 2020 @onlyggifiwin welcome to the forum You can do that by: With white as your first color, and the area selected (after you delete the area) press "backspace' and it will become white. Rick Brewster Posted October 27, 2020 Posted October 27, 2020 You might also try turning off antialiasing in the toolbar Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html

You can use Shift + Backspace to fill a selection with white (white is the default Secondary color). Ahh - thank you I've never tried it myself, so now know no need to change the color 😁 Quote How I made Jennifer & Halle in Paint.net My Gallery | My Deviant Art "Rescuing one animal may not change the world, but for that animal their world is changed forever!" anon.
onlyggifiwin Posted October 27, 2020 Author Posted October 27, 2020 I ended up using AHK to remap my delete key to send Shift + Backspace. Disabling anti-aliasing did not work. Quote
