How to make delete turn the selection white instead of removing the area

@onlyggifiwin welcome to the forum :)

 

You can do that by:

 

With white as your first color, and the area selected (after you delete the area) press "backspace' and it will become white.

You can use Shift + Backspace to fill a selection with white (white is the default Secondary color).

Ahh - thank you :)  I've never tried it myself, so now know no need to change the color 😁
