DerSteffen
Hello, since a few days, everytime I save an image as PNG, all transparent areas will be filled with white when I reopen the file. I definitely saved it all as PNG-files. When I tried to uninstall paint.net for a new installation, I first had to fix an error (no. 1603) to proceed. Maybe this was part of the same problem? Anyway, after I reinstalled paint.net, all PNG-files were still saved with white instead of transparent (the PDN-files seem to be OK, but I need them as PNG). Thank you for your quick help! Kind regards, Steffen Jung
HyReZ
This happens to me also if I save as a PNG at 24 bit color depth, all other color depth settings work fine. I only found this out when trying to help DerSteffen. I usually have Auto-Detect selected as the default. Ego Eram Reputo
Hello Steffan - welcome to the forum 1 hour ago, HyReZ said: I usually have Auto-Detect selected as the default. Not having Auto-Detect checked in the PNG Save dialog is the usual cause of loss of transparency.
