ScrapbookWithPDN
Hi. I saw this and, knowing NOTHING about code writing, I noticed it seemed associated with C++ and I think PDN uses C++? I was wondering, since this pile of effects seems associated with a number of Windows based software, could this be written to also be a plugin for PDN? Thank you. ...and, remember, I'm clueless about most of the developing process, but I figure it doesn't hurt to ask.
toe_head2001
Paint.net actually uses C#. However, C# can interop with C++ exports, so yes, a plugin could potentially use libgmic. dipstick
In Linux, it is possible to use G'mic as a standalone program. I have a shortcut on my desktop for G'mic. I can drag any image to it and it will open it in G'mic to apply any filters, then export finished image. I use a terminal command gmic_qt for the shortcut. Perhaps it may also work in Windows somehow? Other options is to use Krita or Gimp as both support G'mic plugin. Even Natron has a G'mic plugin. But yea, it would be great if someone was able to write a plugin to use G'mic in PDN. Edited December 13, 2018 by dipstick

You'd just have to compile it yourself, since they don't provide binaries for download. Quote June 9th, 2023: Sorry about any broken images in my posts. I am aware of the issue. Quote Plugin Pack | PSFilterPdn | Content Aware Fill | G'MIC | Paint Shop Pro Filetype | RAW Filetype | WebP Filetype The small increase in performance you get coding in C++ over C# is hardly enough to offset the headache of coding in the C++ language. ~BoltBait
