Bug with unchecking visible layers

Hi All!

 

Version 4.0.21, windows 7 32 bit.

Problem: I have many visible and unvisible layers in picture. I selected unvisible layeas via mouse. And checked it to visible. It's ok. After I unchecked this layears and system unchecked my layers and  automatic selected different layers. It can be next or previous or first e.t.s.

 

This first layers problem. There are several other bugs, but currently i don't have correct path to repeat it.

 

If you need I can send my picture for bug resolve.

What's happening is this:

 

If you hide the active layer, the focus moves downward to the next visible layer.

 

If no visible layer is below the one you hid, the focus rises to the next visible layer above the one you hid.

 

If no other layers are visible, the active focus remains on the layer you hid.

 

Does that explain what's happening?

This actually working as designed (as described by EER, above).  The reason for this is simple: new users would turn off the visibility of the layer and start drawing on it and complain that they couldn't see their drawing.  This way, they'll always see their drawing.

ok, system do't selected layers, when I checked the visible layers (it's no bug). But in my case, after making layers is visible, I can add new draw, but focus on anather layers and I make mistake. I have more then 20 layers and this fitcha is needing attention for me.

alex_bb, you aren't the only one who doesn't like this behavior. Rick Brewster, the developer of PDN, is considering adding an option to disable the automatic layer-switching.

And what is about "make selected layer when I checked on it".  Currently focus stayind on previous.

There is new error.

 

I selected layer (visible) and change canvas size . System change size and fill new area with current color. But not in focused layers! And I is forced to seek layer with new filled area.

 

Definitely there are error in store current visible layer. In previously version programm I don't meet this bug.

On canvas size changes, all layers, except the background layer,  are filled with transparent.  The background layer is filled with the secondary color.
