  1. I don't have a network linking my printer ( I only have one PC / printer set up) but as a shot in the dark, I would guess if you take one out of the equation (the lap top) then yes you will be disconnected. All I can offer up as a work around would be to install the HP software on both PC and lap top. Unless anyone else can offer up a solution?
  2. Some high quality works here, That colours sig should be entered in the comp. It would get a vote off me for sure. Great gallery.
  3. To agree. I love the calm that comes with solitary, I would gladly have that as my desktop image or even hung on the wall. Top work indeed.
  4. I guess there must be a knack to getting 3D of to a T. I will stick with it and hopefully get a good result.
  5. Thanks all for the comments and the visit. It really means a lot to have good feedback. @ Helen - Indeed it was clipwarp, your glossy work inspires me to reach higher, the scatter was just a test that worked out well. @ RedOchre - Without your super awesome plugin a lot of my work would not be possible, glad you like the result. @ Welshblue - Cheers mate, If only I could master the art of 3D text, each time I try it, the letters become un readable, must look up more tutes and learn how to do it. @ Barbieq - Thank you, happy you like what I created. @ Sasha - King of clipwarp, now there's a category for the next PDN award show, TR's plugins have opened up some more possibilities for me. You should give scatter a go, I'm sure with your flair for PDN, you will create something cool.
  6. Cheers Helen and Welshblue - There are some great new plugins out now that I think can be really inspiring and adictive. I do look forward to the final version of Midora's path tools plugin and always hope that TechnoRobbo keeps bringing out his cool plugins too. A new image on pg#1 uses the scatter plugin nicely (IMO) As always, a big thanks for passing through my gallery
  7. Feel free to upload the right one - I can keep a secret
  8. I use a HP photosmart C5280 printer / scanner / copy - I also use windows 8 and downloaded a similar pack to what you describe, I was given the option during the install stage to go for a full or custom install. I chose custom (mostly because I don't use all the bloat features that comes with the software) and then let the wizard do it's thing, the only interaction I had to do was power up my printer so it could locate my device and install the drivers needed, I didn't pick any specific location, I just let it do it's thing.
  9. The theme this week is – Colours and Shapes And has been chosen by – Helen This weeks topic invites you to create a sig full of colour and shapes, you can use any variation of shapes and as many colours that you wish to use. The deadline for entries is 9:00pm (UK Time) on Sunday July 7. To see how that equates to other countries, here is a link to the World Time Competition rules. 1. Max sig dimensions 500x200. Please NOTE: The forum limits signatures to 500x150, if it is too large do not try to use it as your sig. 2. Please keep your sig family friendly. 3. Keep to the theme that has been set. 4. Modifying or replacing your sig is not permitted after submitting your entry. 5. Don’t violate copyright laws with found images; links to source images would be courteous. 6. Your entry must be made using paint.net, please don't use an outside image editor and try passing it off as PDN work. The winner of the current SOTW gets to choose the subject for the next competition. Good luck all and thank you in advance for entering. Thanks to - chrisco97, Sozo, TheHowler and Nitenurse79 for keeping this comp going in the past This thread is for posting your entries only. If you want to talk about any of the entries, you can do so in the discussion thread found here..
  10. The first thing I would check is if the drivers for your printer are updated for your Win8 PC
  11. The voting deadline has arived... And it is now that time again to announce the winners. The winner with 16 votes is Helen. Second place with 13 votes is Welshblue. Third place with 12 votes is Ego Eram Reputo. Taking Fourth place with 11 votes is Yellowman. Great entries again from all involved, a great topic from EER - well done to the winner and runner's up. Thanks also go to the voters and supporters. I will send a PM to Helen and will launch the next comp once we have the topic for sotw#85
  12. Love the new update, cheers <Delayed Edit> Original image New image using my example pic from Welshblue's Chrome effect Chain link tut
  13. Some pretty cool images here TR, some good examples of your plugins, I look forward to more images.
  14. Cool. Well worth a play around for some random textures / backgrounds
  15. Thanks for the additional screenshot Klaxxon and thanks for your help too doughty. Finally made one :
  16. Sorry to read about your injury Minners, having been in a (fairly) similar situation myself I can sympathise with you. I had a serious motor bike accident in 2007 that resulted in a broken pelvis, damage to the base of my spine and a total of 6 months off work with painful physiotherapy included. I wish you the very best and look forward to seeing you in one of the comps in the not too distant future
  17. Any chance of sharing how you solved it? Apart from the colour that I managed to sort out, the rest of the tute makes no sense to me at all. Steps 11 - 17 need screenshots in my opinion!
  18. I have followed this tute to the letter and can't get the hollow part in the middle, no matter what I do. Here is all I could manage.
  19. That is weird - Now I have the same colour as Klaxxon & Pdnnoob. But on the first try I had purple (like doughty also had) My colour wheel must have been a Prince fan yesterday
  20. #7F6A00 is still purple
  21. As far as I'm aware, you need to pick your colour first from the colour wheel before you run circle text
  22. Looks interesting, but step #1 the colour - #7F6AA0 produces a purple. Steps #12 - 17 could use some additional screenshots, also you have not mentioned what colour the primary should be on Steps #16 & 17. I will bookmark for later all the same.
