  1. Alley behind a restaurant is top work Skullbonz, the little details such as the cigarette ends, paper cup, receipt, sign on the wall, the detail on the barrel and the textures make it work perfect. Brilliant work and worth a galleria nomination.
  2. The entry deadline has arrived and it’s now time to cast your votes. This week we have eight entries, you may pick four to vote on. The poll will close on Sunday 11 August at 9PM (UK time) to see how that equates to other countries, here is a link to the World Time Good luck one and all.
  3. Cool Another new toy to play with. Cheers TR.
  4. Great image Welshblue, very good use of metalize mate, I would never think of using it in that way. Thanks for the blend mode tip too mate, I have added a multiply blend on the image in my gallery, works a lot better, nice one.
  5. Thanks @ Sasha & Helen - It was an easy to follow tute and giving up great results too, glad you like @ Skullbonz - Credit goes to you for the tute in the first place, top one. I will go with the idea that the 'barrel' is 'small' in that image The real reason was I couldn't be bothered to go back out side and take another picture of one of my walls from further back
  6. Dead Quiet is really cool. I get a feeling of bliss looking at that image. Brilliant work.
  7. Thanks Doughty. I thought the original image looked a little too clean for a building in the process of getting demolished. I think the plugins that I used added just the right amount of grime and dirt
  8. Modified. Original. Completely inspired by Doughty's post. I duplicated the original image, used laplacian pyramid filter on it then on the upper image used TR's Line tracer plugin and set the layer to overlay and opacity on 70. Added the barrels from Skullbonz tut finished it off with a ladder, text and a little red paint on the nearest barrel. Thanks for the inspiration. Cool image Welshblue, top work indeed mate
  9. Cool new additions here TR. Tempus is a stunning creation, well made.
  10. Great plugin and a great example image TR. This will be fun to use. Cheers
  11. Thank you all for your visits and comments, it means a great deal to me. Your all inspirational to what I doodle and share. @ Helen - Thank you. I know gloss is your thing and I'm happy you like how I make mine. @ Daniels - Cheers sir, the colour was originally going to be on the comp entry, but didn't seem to work on the smaller version. @ Welshblue - Cheers mate, credit also goes to you for coming up with (and sharing) your tutes. The text one is a personal fave of mine, glad you like what you see. @ Barbieq - Thank you for your feedback, always kind words that give me the inspiration to try and better myself. @ Dug - Thanks mate, without the tutes I would be lost on many things, happy you like them, thanks for the vote too.
  12. Use Ctrl + Shift + D to duplicate the layer or click on the duplicate layer icon > :DuplicateLayer: found in the layers window. Your method of Edit > Copy is not the same
  13. The theme this week is – Bokeh style. And has been chosen by – Helen. This week’s topic invites you to create a bokeh style sig there is a pluging by TechnoRobbo found Here and an excellent tutorial by Welshblue found Here you can use either your own image or a stock image (please link the source if using stock) or you can create one from scratch. The deadline for entries is 9:00pm (UK Time) on Sunday August 4. To see how that equates to other countries, here is a link to the World Time Competition rules. 1. Max sig dimensions 500x200. Please NOTE: The forum limits signatures to 500x150, if it is too large do not try to use it as your sig. 2. Please keep your sig family friendly. 3. Keep to the theme that has been set. 4. Modifying or replacing your sig is not permitted after submitting your entry. 5. Don’t violate copyright laws with found images; links to source images would be courteous. 6. Your entry must be made using paint.net, please don't use an outside image editor and try passing it off as PDN work. The winner of the current SOTW gets to choose the subject for the next competition. Good luck all and thank you in advance for entering. Thanks to - chrisco97, Sozo, TheHowler and Nitenurse79 for keeping this comp going in the past This thread is for posting your entries only. If you want to talk about any of the entries, you can do so in the discussion thread found here..

  16. This version works fine, but... On a setting of 20 using the below image (332 x 455 px) It took almost 30sec to render. I have plenty of RAM (4GB)
  17. Stunning work on the scroll, highly realistic with some top class textures, nice one.
  18. You could actually vote while you was here you know
