  1. I wanted to change the "mountains" backdrop of old, but still retain the blue colours and of course the logo we all recognise. I used the "Apply Texture plugin" on the text to liven up the otherwise static text by adding a cropped verson of the PdN logo. The feeling for me is tranquilitly, bliss and relaxation, just the kind of feeling I have when I sit at my PC and try to create something on PdN. I am sure others see differently, but the feeling of nothing was not how I perceived it.
  2. Thanks for the tips here sadly I don't know how to give the illusion of transparency, I have difficulty making my creations "stand out" I do try but, just can't seem to add the "wow factor" that so many people on here can manage to do (so easily) For the record, this image was meant to be transparent, but ended up blandsparent instead. I will (I am sure) get there in the end and manage to post gallery worthy images, but for what ever reason most of my creations are dull.
  3. Thanks also Boltbait. I never knew it existed until now - *downloads*
  4. Hi Race Pro Kid. Welcome to the forum You can first make your selection you wish to copy, then go to File> Copy, and then File > Paste into new layer (or on keyboard Ctrl+C then Ctrl+Shift+V) The advantage of your new selection being on a new layer gives you more freedom to manipulate and modify it to your liking Hope this helps
  5. How about the keyboard shortcuts ? Do they work ? (Ctrl+Shift+N / Ctrl+Shift+D) You could always go into your Program Files / Paint.NET locate and run the PdnRepair Application and see if that works [reason for edit] spelling errors.

  13. Hi and welcome to the forum Your first stop off point should be here - Cutting out images remember to save your first image as .PNG then simply open up your background image, go to Layers and select :ImportFromFile: Import from file, locate your cut out image and use either or tools to place it where you want it to be. I hope this is of use to you and also what you meant.

  17. Hi and welcome The whole idea of the clone stamp tool is to "clone" a selective area of pixels that you define. It only follows the path you select. It won't freeze on any given point. No program has that feature with any clone tool that I know of
