  1. sent -in case the image didnt load in the pm--cant preview it there-- here is the curves setting
  2. ahh ok my bad- i was going off what was listed in the Plugin Index by EER " Color Filter, Color Tint, Posterize, Threshold - Ed Harvey Included PDN v? " but i guess i missunderstood the description
  3. use the steps they recomend to COMPLETELY wipe PDN from your comp including the clean up programs-- then do it again (i had to go round it several times) then intall the new version
  4. i had to completely clean pdn from my comp and then reinstall the new version when i had a similar problem--unistallation can be tricky- i went through the pinned threads here step bby step several times before i got it right
  5. read and try EVERY LITTLE thing in the pinned threads on this troubleshooting forum, then retry them.. i was on my fourth go round of them before i got it right and was able to completely clean pdn from my comp so i could reinstall it
  6. effects>color>colorfilter should work to get it a color such as green--- color filter was made by ed harvey but it think it comes standard now-- or bucketfill, with the tollerance set low?
  7. for the defining glow you could follow Sozo's method for making an inner/outer glow described here and not shade the glow layers-- http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/16082-100-pdn-planet-tutorial-v2/ barbieq's method is good and will work on any background but if you luck up and get the g you want on a solid one-color background-then here is an alternative way get the g you want on a sepperate layer-if you cant find the font in pdn, set magic wand on global ans the tollerance to zero-click outside the G and if it doesnt select part of the g hit delete, use eraser to remove any other parts-- maybe run shape3d on it, set on half-sphere so it would match the curve of the planet-- if thas what you want; you could also play with the opacity if you wanted it to blend a bit
  8. well, a little more indepth than i figured this was my result-- not the same font, but you get the idea as this isnt the place for tutorials- i can send how i did this in a pm-- up to you-- others can probably do it better
  9. assuming you mean the one in tans that actually says "glossy" on the first page- its text with an unblurred but widened dropshadow in a slightl darker colour with what apears to be a horizontal conditional hue/sat then coloredfiltered to tan on the main text-- will try to duplicate then let you know the steps
  10. http://forums.getpai...__fromsearch__1<<< i think that should explain where we are at on those... that was 07 and i thimnk thats where its still at, however if you are handy with code, you could always write your own plugin for it
  11. http://www.isimonbro...ing-out-images/ <--- This link will take you to a tutorial on how to cut out part of an image http://mikesbrush.zxq.net/Levels.pdf <-- this one will bring you a tutorial on working with layers both are needed to do what you want they, among other tutorial are found in a different part of this forum called Tutorial+-Publishing ONLY!> Newbie Playground you will find everything you need to know there to start working with paint.net im dyslexic myself
  12. no , i dont believe there is a way to add an anchor point, there are other ways of bending lines- from distortion plugins such as twist and bulge to rotate/zoom layer which lets you skew the layer as well, experiment and have fun
  13. select the image you want to copy to your new work press ctrl-a too select all the image(if you want to copy the whole image0 or use a selection tool to select what part of it you want, then ctrl-c to copy it, then go to the new image you are working with and go to the layer tool box click the add-a-layer button then press ctrl-v to paste the new image to the layer- use the move selection tool to possition as desired
  14. and youve used the search feature and looked thru the plugin forum?
  15. you put the two people on seperate layers- and then use the mover layer down or the move laye up button in the layer toolbox to put the layer with the person you want behind lower than the layer with the person you want in front ex: you have three layers- background layer is just that, background; layer 2 contains person you want in front; layer 3 contains person you want behind- you would click on layer 3 in the layer tool box, then hit the move layer down arrow, you could then move the person in that layer slightly behind the person in layer two making them "look" to be behind - if there is a significant distance you want between the two you might need to scale the second person to create the illusion of distance this requires isolating BOTH people, i know a bit more work intensive but---
  16. you can also use feather or a blur to smooth out such leftover pixels and make it blend well
  17. me no know that-- but what i do know is that if you "grab' (left click and hold) the circle marker at any of the corners of your selection and hold shift you can scale the image up to the size you want exactly-- that would be left click-shift and hold them while you move your mouse outward--- you then might have to reposition the insert by left click and hold in the middle of the insert and moving the mouse
  18. you could try- duplicating the picture layer then filling each letter on the duplicate with colour and working from there-- but pdnnoob is right- some of the letters are very hard to read as tthey blend well with the rest of the stone-- of course you could always fill them pixel by pixel
  19. hmmm...careful selection, of the matching tooth from the other side, layer/flip horrizonally, layer rotate/zoom, maybe some scale work and feathering might get you there that would be 1) use a selection tool to carefully select the matching tooth from the other side of the mouth 2) copy the selection and paste it into new layer 3) flip that layer horizontaly 4) used the move pixel tool(blue arrow) to place it where it needs go and maybe tilt it to match, can also scale it to the right size with this tool 5) rotate/zoom layer can also help align it correctly 6) once its in place at the right angle you will need to shade it to match the neighboring teeth 7) you would then need to merge it down then make it blend with the other teeth with maybe the feather effect someone else may have a better method
  20. as a comparison, my Effects--Render looks like this and yeah, i know it looks huge but it is in size requirements 516x800
  21. sounds like a problem for the troubleshooting and bug report forum-- the techies tend to hang out down there
  22. im not sure if its a plug-in or standard issue but Effects/Render/polygones... i added a lot of the 'basic' plugin packs without checking what was included in 3.5.6
  23. i disagree crisco i prefer the simpler look of julios not that there is anything wrong with mattz.. awsome sig both of you, Mattz 1 julio 1 but then im a dragon fanatic so i might be a bit biased btw- no drop ripple used but i get the point thanks guys
