  1. Very nice :O Can I see it with the flares? There might be away to make them or something similar at least on PDN.
  2. How's that? I selected the border and ran Hue/Saturation. Then I went to Borders n' shapes and made a 1px black border with 0 :AntiAliasingOn:. Experiment Also, its pretty nice just as it is. I like the transparent border. Keep up the good work.
  3. Darkshock, I would personally love to see a 100% PDN wallpaper from you. There are some awesome effects in your signatures that you could apply really well and I'd like to see what you could do with them. A break from the usual style its just a suggestion. Good work.
  4. I just saw that last spacescape. Its great. But before you go diving off into the speed of google images, I'd recommend trying some more 100% PDN planet textures. Much more satisfying that way. Also, when using shape 3D for planets, your best bet is to do half sphere map with no lighting and no specular highlight. Then its less distorted and you can make your own custom lighting. Much better results. Sorry for rambling. Keep up the good progress!
  5. Here's a random tip for your current avatar. Use Transparency! If you get rid the white square, leave the text, and save as PNG or PDN you'll have just the text floating over the PDN forum background. Looks much nicer. I like your stuff. You current sig is really neat. I now have the urge to try and copy it.
  6. That is a good sig. I've been watching the sig updates today and this one is definitely the best. Keep it up.
  7. My word. You have some of the best, if not the best, stock sigs on this forum. They're amazing. One thing that would improve every single one of your sigs would be borders. Borders can seriously improve a signature. Even a black 1px border. Other then that I can't think of anything to critic. The Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory sig made me laugh. Its kinda harsh its great. My favorite, though, was probably the Nazgul. Epicness.
  8. Borders. You need borders! Try something without stocks. Something pure PDN. You can make great stuff like that. Good luck.
  9. Don't hold down to draw. Just click to do that actual cloning. Hold down CTRL. Left click once. Release CTRL. Move mouse to where you wish to place the clone. Click once. TA DA!
  10. Not quite your usual caliber but with some work it could be really neat. Here's a new desktop I just made...I re-sized it as its usually 1440 x 900. Criticism is welcomed whole-heartedly.
  11. Make a new folder for your work on your desktop. Save all your stuff there or in subfolders in it. Then its easy sailing.
  12. Aagh...I can't view it. My dad has OpenDNS which blocks out sites of certain genres. Deviant has "Photo sharing, Nudity" so I can't access the tutorial. Any chance of you posting it elsewhere?
  13. The best way of getting rid of the white would be to use the magic wand to select all the white and then just hitting the delete button. If the robin has any white or light colours on the edge you'll hafta be careful. Start with a low tolerance and work your way up until you've got as much white selected as possible. Goodluck!
  14. If you haven't used a tablet before, they're hard to get good with but with practice they can be a huge help and just plain fun. I gave up on mine for like three years. Then I actually used it and now I love it. Goodluck.
  15. Anytime and Ill try and hunt one down. Actually, the best border maker I've found is a plugin called, wait for it, borders. I think its own of Madjik's but I'll go check. EDIT: This isn't the one I usually works but it works just as well and has many more features. viewtopic.php?f=16&t=4828&hilit=Borders
  16. Compliments: Nice work you show a lot of potential, and you've already made a really good tutorial. Criticism (the good kind!): For your first picture, notice how the lines don't touch the center glow. It hurts a great idea. Also, the lines need more glow. Try duplicating the unglowed line layer, guassian(?) blurring the bottom layer, and then guassian blurring (at a lower strength) and glowing the top line layer. You can make great glow effects like that. Now just one more thing. A rule for signatures: borders. Borders make a signature great. Hope I could help!
