  1. Showing less of the grill rather than more is an option.

  3. If each button has its own layer, press Ctrl + A. Use the Move Selected Pixels tool. The keyboard arrow keys can be used with the Move tools for minute adjustments. .
  4. Are you bringing each button picture in this way? Layers > Import from File ------------- Or are you using copy/paste? Some other way? ------------- What are your steps when doing this?
  5. Good thought. The Layer Saver app has DDS as one of its Image formats.
  6. Put the crosshairs on a layer above the bison with its Blending mode set to Multiply.
  7. I'll see if I can. For now, it's sporadic. ========================== Edit: The problem has not recurred since running PdnRepair.exe .
  8. When Paint.NET crashes it will typically place a pdncrash.log file on the Desktop. Can you post the crashlog file?
  9. Ctrl + C Ctrl + Shift + V Pastes to top of canvas even when canvas is fully visible. Usually works properly, but this has happened twice so far. http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/6274/copypasteintonewlayer01.png
  10. Here are some suggestions: Put your rectangles etc. on their own new layers to make it easier to edit them later if you need to. ====================== Make a Rectangle Selection adjusted to the exact size that you want. Turn it into a rectangle object by filling it or using the Selection Outline plugin. ====================== If you use the Rectangle tool and the size is wrong, Magic Wand outside the rectangle, invert the selection, and adjust the size with the Move Selected Pixels tool set to Pixelated in the toolbar.
  11. You can probably do that using a combination of some of dpy's Text Formation plugins on different layers. Or you could place and position each letter on its own new layer.
  12. Had one instance of this occurring when not zoomed in. (Fit to Window) It was resolved by closing and re-opening the file. (= History loss.)

    AOTW #15

Abstract of the Week Competition # 15 This is the first competition dedicated to Abstract Art created in Paint.Net. Here are the rules.... Theme is " The Heights and the Depths ..." Imagine yourself at the top of the city's tallest skyscraper, perched on the pinnacle edge of a high escarpment, or clinging to the wobbly tip-top of an ancient redwood tree. You look out at the expansive vista before you ... ... or maybe you look down (ulp!) Perhaps you stand at the base of one of these giants, looking up to where the top vanishes into a limitless sky. Alternately, you might consider the range of human feeling, from the depths of despair to the height of elation. And how the knowledge of one affects the experience of the other. Let any of these things (or something more uniquely personal) be your inspiration for AOTW #15. And as always ... May the Muse be with you! Your image may be representational or non-representational. Your image can include text, shapes, colors, textures or anything in between with the exception of stock images and renders . No stock images or renders will be permitted in this comp. This competition is all about Paint.net and the artists who use it to their creative best. Now get out there and think in abstract terms. And as always, use your imagination ! Minimum image size is 800 X 600. There is no maximum image size. Rules for submitting your entry. READ THIS ! DO NOT POST YOUR ENTRY HERE. PM YOUR IMAGE TO ME. DO NOT SIGN YOUR IMAGE. DO NOT COPY IT TO ANYONE ELSE. I WILL POST THE IMAGES IN THE COMP AS THEY ARE ENTERED. DO NOT POST YOUR IMAGE IN YOUR IMAGE GALLERY OR IN THE PICTORIUM OR ANYWHERE ON THIS SITE. No images previously submitted will be allowed. Do not post in this thread. If you want to discuss this comp, please go to the discussion thread. Here The Entry period for this competition runs through Monday evening November 29th, 2010 at 8:00 p.m., Eastern Daylight Saving Time. All Entries submitted up to that time will be accepted.

  21. I think that Oblique is one of MadJik's plugins. In any event, it's been more than 4 years, maxgoof may have lost interest.
  22. This question has puzzled me for years. It's impossible to websearch the answer because of the ubiquitousness of the search term "Edit". .
  23. Editable Text is a Simon Brown plugin. It won't be helpful for this particular situation where the text is already part of the background image. It is worth mentioning for future reference though.
