  1. jedi12- I just saw the thumbnail,I don't know it takes forever in my browser to view it from the hosting web, look simple and nice, anyways. Axle-colors are so bright, I prefer dark colors, but I like it as an abstract image RedFalcon-I like this one, good job: Well my image is neither realistic nor abstract, I don't know if it could fall under this thread: Named it ENERGY
  2. There is another way with Paint.Net for the cone part, click image below to enlarge, and add your own touch ups, make the bottom curved, but you will need 2 plugins 1-TubeOblique 2-Octagonal/quad reshape/matte
  3. The last image of space is fantastic, I really love it and like to spend time to watch all the fine details in it same time that you spent it drawing it, I have one point explained in the image below you can review it and think its easy to fix, otherwise looks great job thanks. I like the names they suggested, I think you have to choose your own name nobody knows what's in your mind and people wants to know how the brain thinks and how it sends orders to the hands and eyes.:!:

  5. Thank you david.atwell very much yes I will add a list for all 3 plugins used in this tutorial but I posted quickly because I had a bad connection and was scaring of losing every thing, then I will be so mad  , I am still working on it I hope I can finish it without getting any troubles Edit/ well there is some more applications for this tutorial, not just text I posted them as well.
  6. This tutorial is available as a PDF. Click here to view or download it Moderators notes: Pictures provided by ReMake to eliminate the Photobucket logo and to move it from the Graveyard. In this tutorial we are going to learn how to do a Curved or Circular Text, and how we could add some 3D Effect and Animation to it. We don't need any dedicated program or 3rd party program, all will be done by Paint.NET, and nothing else. All this will be explained with really boring details that lets even a newbie follow the steps. Anyway, we are making this: Plugins needed for this tutorial :1- Tile Image by Curtis2- Polar Transformation by MadJik3- Animated Image 1.7 - Animated GIF and Animated PNG by Simon Brown_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________Let's start:1---- Click on File in top-left, then choose New from the list and in the New popped_up window put 1000 for width by 200 for height for the file size, look at these two images below for help: click New to get-> You will get something like this:_________________________________________2---- Now click on Layers button and Add New Layer as in the image below:Now rename this new layer text. To do that look at the image below and follow the 1 and 2 shown in red, leave other options on default:_________________________________________3---- In the Tools window click on T and type your text on the text layer and make sure to align it in the lower half of the image as below:I used Verdana for font style and 48 for the size and Bold for decoration: _________________________________________4---- Now click on the Image button in the menu bar, select Resize, and in the Resize window change the Height to 1000 pixels see the image below for help: You should get something like this:_________________________________________5---- Find the Tile Image plugin in the Effect > Distort > Tile Image for help see how in the image below:Open the Tile Image plugin window and put a value 1 for the Horizontal Repetitions and 2 for the Vertical Repetitions, you will get something like this:_________________________________________6---- Now find the Polar Transformation plugin under Effect > Distort > Polar Transformation look below to see where to find it:Open the Polar Transformation window and choose Transform rectangular to polar and leave other options on default as below:In this step we learned how to make a Curved or Circular shape text_________________________________________7---- Now let's downsize the image by clicking on Image > Resize, and put 500 pixels for Width and Height , (this is to make the file size smaller when saving and to have better performance for the next steps, the reason we use a bigger image size in the beginning is to get a smooth text when apply the last two plugins):__________________________________________In this step we will learn how to give some 3D Effect and Animation to the text:8---- Duplicate the text layer 11 Times 🤯🤯 as below. This means our animation file will contain 12 frames (more frames for a smoother transition between image).😞If you feel you will get lost then rename the layers as (text1, text2, text3......text12). As we learned the renaming in step 2 above.__________________________________________9---- Now select the top (1st layer) layer by clicking on it in the Layers window to highlight it, then open Rotate / Zoom effect by clicking in the main menu bar on Layers then select Rotate / Zoom from the list:And put these values: 00.00 for Angle-90.00 for Twist 70.00 for Tilt You can change this last one as you like, more value more tilting and less value less tilting (ZERO value will keep the circle shape unchanged). And leave other options on default (like the Zoom and Pan and others keep them unchanged). __________________________________________10---- Now select the 2nd layer from the Layers window and apply the Rotate / Zoom then change just the first value for the Angle from 00.00 to 15:The new values for the 2nd layer are: 15.00 for Angle-90.00 for Twist 70.00 for TiltSelect the 3rd layer and apply the Rotate / Zoom effect again and put these values respectively : 30.00 -90.00 70.00As you see we are just increasing the value of the Angle option by 15 Degrees in the Rotate / Zoom for each next layer. The last layer (bottom, 12th layer)the values should be: 165.00 -90.00 70.00If you are not sure about the values of every layer just ask and I will put the values for all 12 layers.Hint: As we said before, more layers (Frames) for smoother animation, so if you increase the amount layers to 18 you have to use an increment of 10 degrees of Angle for each layer in the Rotate / Zoom effect, starting from 00.00 ending with 170.00 __________________________________________11---- We will end up with this weird image :__________________________________________12---- Now let's downsize the canvas for a more organized look by cutting out the white empty spaces from the top and bottom areas of the image , use the Rectangle Select tool from Tools list window, and select around the black circle leaving some space as u like, then click on crop :Crop: in the menu bar:And delete the white background layer, we don't need it anymore. The final image will be something like this:Hint :You can check your History window and Layers window with the image for comparing purpose.____________________________________________13---- Let's move now to the saving step, click on File in the menu bar and select Save As A saving dialog window will open, choose a location for the file (I saved it in Desktop), name the file in the File Name field (I named it rotating text), in the Saving As Type choose Animated PNG(*.apng) and click Save button, just see the image below for help:A new window will open (Save Configuration) for the Settings options, put 100 for Delay and 0 (zero) for Repeat:____________________________________________14---- We reached the final step. Now go to the location of the saved file and change the file extension from apng to png (just remove the a from apng) and click on any empty space in the desktop or in your folder location to confirm the renaming.See this image below for help renaming the file extension: If you saved the file as agif (animated Gif) then do the same thing exactly by removing the a from the agif file extension. That's how you'll get this image: For animation png supporting browser FireFox (good quality): For GIF file in all other applications (bad quality) adding some blue and red blinking effect: This with some additional effects png file Just the propeller of the helicopter is using this tutorial And the background animated with help of Panelling plugin: GIF.................PNG GIF animation (not good quality) Unfortunately my APNG file type is not working on more than 21 layers and this Galaxy is 35 layers
  7. I get an error When I try to save as apng for 21 layers and up, but works fine with agif and also a tried various delays without success. Like this file which has 35 frames, can you please open it and try to save it as apng? Unfortunately I didn't save the project as pdn and when I was trying saving it as apng it disappeared from the Paint.NET window without showing any error or crash. It is all about the quality of the animation what i am looking for.
  8. If you still keeping the pdn file you just need to rotate the board backward, you can do that with move select pixels by squeezing the selection , then correct the eye level, like make all the crosses on one level and enlarge or sizedown the queens according to there location, and you can also improve the board by removing the black line on the up-right edge and the half checkers on the up-left edge, I like the idea, and you did make a beautiful job EDIT/ I missed that you lost the the pdn file, just ignore what I said its nice
  9. I have two suggestions to improve this good plugin: 1-If it is possible to add a box for reverse feature that mean if you check the box, the saved GIF will play two ways automatically, forward and back 2-I think this is more difficult, is to add a feature of Use A Background , that's mean the background layer will repeat itself on all transparent frames automatically during the saving. I hope it's clear, but the plugin is still very good as it is.Thanks
  10. Thank you everyone for your visiting and your nice comments. Storm.Shadow....thanks so much, good point I'll see how could I fix that. pophiri....thanks, yes I guess HELEN....thank you, it was a good lesson the shadow and the blur, took long time. oma....thank you very much, glad you like it, I am waiting to see the aka, I put a comment there. welshblue....thanks mate for every word that's a great support. Goonfella....thanks, and yes it is a WIP but the head is finished, now I am making the pieces of dress carefully that will be a difficult project. janettsue....I am so glad for your passing by and reviewing the gallery, thank you so much.
  11. If you want to reach this kind of transition (image-1) between these to images(image-2) then pm me I will help you. image-1
  12. oma....the Elephant looks so nice, you are right there is some out of perspective, but I love those Spontaneous mistakes in the scale or perspective or proportions in images, I feel like there is more life in them. I think its time for you to learn the sketch-up program, that will help you in your work faster and better especially for objects like the Howdah (the thing on top of the elephant back). But I like your image very much, I know your final touch-ups will change every thing. .
  13. Marvelous, I am almost smelling the wood and the varnish looks so real, I like your version more than the one in the tutorial, because the one in the tut. is so busy, but I like the anti-aliasing for the tut., great work thanks a lot.
  14. That iMouse looks great, I can see the Windows logo in white up left on the mouses body, what an accident,
  15. Is that Elephant ready to enter your factory? Or he is in already? Poor he doesn't know what Omas hand will do to him, I am so excited to see him after the work, I am sure he will have a decent plastic surgery , his Friends will be jealous. It gonna be a very nice piece as usual oma I am sure. And I am sorry if I did hunt some of your flying ideas but they were above my head didn't know were yours . And this image looks very nice, there is a lot of thinking and hope in those eyes, you are a blur professional.
  16. Very nice, did you aim to make the Sozo in bold font style? Or my eyes are...!? Why don't you put the "S" in the center of the image :?: give it a try and see how it look like, just an idea, but still very nice like that.
  17. Sing With Me ....so pleasant image the colors are so nice, i will steal it and put it on my cell phone as a wallpaper  ,no just kidding. Cinderella's Stagecoach.. so nice, the transparency colors of the spheres are awesome, I love it.
  18. Oh boy that's so cute , he is looking at the camera like he was ready to take the picture , colors are very nice and I like the two flowers also they look so beautiful in that color .
  19. Possum Roadkill...those opals stones are awesome, so real I can't believe you made them with Paint.NET they look just real woow excellent work, especially the 2nd pic. Are you planing to create your own Gallery ? I guess it's time, you have now a good collection of images, and I (think most of our friends here also) want to view your work from time to time because there is really some interesting images so it's good idea to gather them in one spot, keep up good work, I enjoy looking at your work very much. welshblue.... and oh I forgot the knight piece is very nice, I love the stones wall behind, its perfectly done and looks so real, and the fireplace is also nice, I saw this knight dancing somewhere  that's so funny. I have just one point about the image, the shade of the painting on the wall (down-left)is covering a little bit the candles holder, I guess the holder is infront of the painting, how did I see that? You know that candles holder is my favorite .The ship in bottle is nice idea too, a lot of fun in your work . soul41...Kirby is so cute and clean work, I like colors, you can add some more details to the image. pophiri... Soap Bubbles is nice, looks real, I like the one which just creating looks so well done I like the idea very much.
  20. Axle thanks for visiting, if you mean the current golden sig, then just visit my tutorial (3D engraved text) in the first page of this thread, I used that tutorial, if you have any question on any step feel free to ask, we are here to help you Queen From Ancient Assyria....WIP, added to the gallery (this is just the head the whole body is in golden dress and of course a background) they are all in progress may be it will take forever, I may post the final here, not sure yet. I was busy last month, but I have some time now , and I am working on some mini tutorials they will be added here .
  21. This is the easiest thing to do with Paint.NET, but first, did you download Paint.NET and know how to use it? If yes, then image like this one could be created in 3 or 4 layers no more: Background layer Pictures layer Text layer And Extra layer if you planing to mix more than one style of text and some random small shapes. Search feature is your friend, search for layers also in Help file, you have to know how to deal with multiply layers picture.
  22. I am wondering if it is possible to replace the Shapes bar with or add Fonts drop-down to get unlimited shapes, fonts and symbols, I saw that in Custom Brushes and it is really great feature. I know I am asking a lot
  23. Thanks so much Ash I am glad you like, thanks for passing by.
  24. I use FFD800 for yellow and 5B4C00 or black, but after that gold needs to use the Curves, Hue/ Saturation and Brightness/Contrast effects to give some gold effect to the object.
  25. Pretzels  Wow they are so yummy, the highlights are excellent, and those sugar pieces are very nice. , so realistic. And the Bugs things they look so cool in their Glassy skin
