  1. Make the secondary color fully transparent then do the second gradient, for each gradient when you finish click Enter on your keyboard to end the action then start the second gradient. Visit this tutorial and scroll down to the bottom of the page I explained it in details with screenshots http://paintdotnet.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=29138
  2. janettsue, this Image is awesome the lighting is very well done, it is sunset time but the sun is behind us  not like traditional sunset drawings, did you mean that or it just came by chance? And Goonfella those companies should start pay for your drawings because you're making people attracted to their phones , they really nice . I was practicing on the Smudge plugin and this tree came out, with bevel and some additions I got this image: Tree
  3. So you converted all the negatives and saved them as digital files, right? And you want to adjust the colors and improve the pictures? If you are at this step then Paint.NET is very good photo editor there is a lot of features in, but all that depend on original scanned picture, some times i use the "Auto Leves " under "Adjustment" and it gives me very good result in just one click.
  4. Very good work I really love it, two things I'm concern about one serious and other a joke, Why the shark is so blur? It is a shark, isn't it? Or I am wrong? And fix the crack soon or the Forum will............. flood:D

  6. You welcome, I think it is good the one you did but the text is little bit high just drag it to the center of the button, like this below, I know it is hard to deal with tiny text:
  7. Are you meaning by the banner the flash animated banner ,or the GIF animated banner? Or you want just merge all the layers in one stop image? If you need the last one then the objects should be on a fully transparent layers then flatten the image(merge all layers together), but if you mean the animated banner then this is a different story, could you make the question more specific?
  8. Some old tips just a reminder : 1-To draw an exact squire press and hold the Shift key and draw the squire using the Rectangle from the Tools list 2-To draw an exact circle same thing but using the Ellipse from the Tools list 3-To select an exact squire section press and hold the shift key and make the selection using the Rectangle Select from Tools list 4-To select an exact circle do same thing but using the Ellipse Select 5-While making a selection, by keeping the left mouse pressed and meantime pressing the right mouse you cam move selection around by moving the mouse, then remove the right mouse and continue adjusting the selection, and also during this activity you can press the shift key to draw and move the exact circle and squire. 6-To resize a selection maintaining the same aspect ratio ,press shift key and resize the selection using Move Selected Pixels from tools list do the resizing from corners points .
  9. I use the Color Mixer plugin for this purpose it gives me excellent result.
  10. Good work every one especially Possum Roadkill, Possum Roadkill the image is awesome but if you still keeping the .pdn file and didn't flattened the image yet just try to bring some transparency to the Glass box-like the edges-you can do that easily by using the Transparency effect just apply it to the layer that containing the box, to show the background through the walls also, but I like the image very much.
  11. I appreciate every one's comment on my Easter I am sorry I can't improve it because I flattened the file , but I will put your advices in my mind and apply them in the future's , I know there are some mistake in it. This is Yellowman's ring

  14. Thank you every one, I am glad to see you liking this tutorial, but I want you also to know that this tutorial is just to teach some concepts of 3D text, don't just follow the steps as they are to make same model, I want you to be creative and make your own images using your own ideas and effects, I know it is difficult for some in the beginning but by time with practicing on PDN I am sure it will be easy to you . Here are some new images just to see how powerful is the PDN I hope you will like them: .......Beveled Text....... .......colored....... .......Gold.......
  15. Thank you Possum Roadkill I tried many different styles of fonts and all worked well, if you want to make an outline to a text, use white bold text (see Verdana in the image bellow)and select the text using Magic Wand then add the outline to the text using Outline Selection plugin using black color, apply all this during step one then continue all other steps.
  16. Excellent plugin, this is awesome thank you Simon Brown now we can do every thing in Paint.NET no more third party applications.......wow that will save so much time. I don't know what to say...hmmm....I think I will delete some slow programs from my PC I have like 3 or 4 GIF animators and they are useless now, I love Paint.NET, hey everybody.. ..use.. ....it is the best.
  17. I am seeing some good work here, I wish if every one provided the source images to compare . I like what Max Power posted (on page 14) and Jellyboots (on page 21) they both made a great job. Here is my try in this thread: ....Before.... ....After....
  18. @ Boude..thank you, and may be you are right, but its too late I already flattened the Image HELEN and welshblue thank you for the comments.
  19. @ LFC4EVER..You are absolutely correct , I new that something was missed in Easter but I couldn't figured it out and you've got it. What do you think about it right now ,I made some changes depending on your point view?By the way thank you so much for being so detailed because that helped a lot. Easter ( new version)
  20. @ FinallyHere..Your are very welcome to Paint.net and to this forum feel free to send any question about any think you need to learn about Paint.net and we all here gladly will help you. About your question on how to repeat the gradient : 1-Choose the section you want to apply the gradient effect on it and set the Primary and Secondary to full opacity ( like in this image1 below i used red and white with %100 opacity for both colors and applied the Linear(Reflected) Gradient on my section -which is a rectangular shape- and I put the center of the white some where in the left half of my rectangular) then press Enter on your Keyboard to end the action. 2-on the same layer ,now change the red color transparency to full Transparency (100% Transparent) so that no color will show up this time just the white color, apply the linear(Reflected)Gradient again, this time the center of the white in the right half of my shape, see image2. then press Enter on your keyboard. Note : to change the transparency of a color just slide the key of the (Transparency-Alpha) left and right in the colors window, I marked them with black arrows in image 1 and 2.
  21. welshblue... the bubble is so level , how could you keep it like that? I use this tool a lot at work but never have it stable and 100% horizontal level like that, great work I love it. I know it is to early for Easter but some times hands can't stop what the brain wants. Easter
