  1. Offtopic: Is Trend Micro Security good? I'm getting the suite for free and I want to know if it does its job.
  2. Plausible? Sure. Easy? Not very. The hair took MASSIVE amounts of Ctrl + Z to get it like it is now (I'm a really bad smudge artist, most of the time I don't know how I got what) and soft brushes saved me quite a lot of time using Gaussian Blur. This took about an hour and a half to color in PS. With PDN, it would take perhaps 2 1/2. When you have more versatile tools, you tend to shy away from the challenge...maybe I'll do one 100% PDN next time.
  3. I colored it, but I used Photoshop. I'll post it anyway...
  4. Use this tutorial to cut out the part of the image you want. That will give you smooth edges.
  5. Make search your new best friend. A quick scan for "curve letters" revealed this topic: Click Me! ...which links to 4 other topics, each asking the same thing. And some of those topics link to similar threads as well.
  6. Where's the "david.atwell always gets first post" sig?
  7. Try Outline Object, using a light purple-ish color. Then, if it's not bright enough, run Glow. Or, on a new layer behind the image, use the brush tool and draw a bunch of pink/purple lines where you want the glow to appear, and use Gaussian Blur. Then use Glow again.
  8. Voting is now closed. Results will be posted.........gee, look at the time...
  9. Topezia, The can looks great, but the top needs some work. As in shadows, detail, etc. Drawn with pencil then scanned into Paint.NET and traced with Line/Curve. I DON'T talk to my computer. Not yet, anyways.
  10. go to dafont.com and look under Distorted or Eroded. Maybe you'll find one there.
  11. Hello, Tiffany, welcome to the forums! Before I answer your questions, I must point you to Rule #6 of this forum. Please read this (and maybe the rest of it if you haven't already), and change your topic accordingly. I would suggest you do this quickly, before a moderator finds out, or this thread could possibly be locked. Now, about your question. Blending images can be fairly easy, depending on what you want to do. The easiest way is to put each image on an individual layer, then use a transparency gradient (Click on , then change :AllColorChannels: to :AlphaChannel: ) to make the top layer gradually fade away. If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Good luck.
  12. My best advice would be to try again, but use a tripod. Otherwise, line up the photos the best you can, then use the Clone Stamp tool to make the clouds/mountains/etc flow more evenly. (For best results, Clone onto a new layer, then blur slightly with Gaussian Blur.)
  13. You drew out the map of the Earth in your first image? That's pretty amazing.
  14. Looks pretty cool. How did you do the reflection? I'm looking for a simpler way to do reflections for 3D objects...
  15. Just use the Print Screen function that comes with your computer. Press Print Screen, then, press Ctrl + V in Paint.NET, and select the part of the screen you want.
  16. Try the Color Mixer plugin, turning the Blue/Cyan knob down a bit.
  17. welshblue, I really like how you placed the grass/leaves, it gives it lots of depth. Good job.
  18. That's a little harder. If you just want a solid color, you can use the above mentioned tutorial again (or the Magic Wand) to select the part you want to change the color of, then use Hue/Saturation to change the color.
  19. That looks very nice! To make it look even more realistic, try to add black shadows under the car. Use the Brush tool and draw some black lines at the bottom of the car, and use Gaussian Blur :GaussianBlur: to turn the lines into shadows. Play around with it, see what you can get.
  20. If I understand you correctly, you want to move the body of the truck slightly downwards. If that is what you want to do: [*:2g6g0cz9]Using this tutorial, cut out the part of the truck you want moved, and re-paste it onto a new layer on top of your original one. [*:2g6g0cz9]With the image still selected, use the Move tool and drag the bottom nub slightly downwards, until the body covers the wheels somewhat. This will alter the proportions of your truck slightly, but it's the quickest way to do this. I hope this is what you wanted, if not, don't hesitate to ask. Good luck.
  21. Nice blending. Maybe something in the background? Upon looking at this again, I find that the text is a tad too dark. :?
  22. Seriously? Seriously? I cannot believe you asked that. Yes, I suppose I could make a tut. I guess. Whatever. ...which translates to "use search."
