  1. As of now, pen pressure sensitivity, should work with Paint.NET, so you may need to check your tablet settings. What brand and model of tablet do you own? And also, if you solve your tablet problem now, keep in mind, that pressure sensitivity will not work with the next release of Paint.NET. So don't get too comfortable with it If you do a lot of drawing with it or really want the pen pressure, I must honestly point you towards GIMP (which has a graphic UI that will make you cry, especially after using Paint.NET) or, if you don't mind shelling out a few dollars, Corel Painter Essentials.
  2. Make sure nothing is selected, or, if it is, that you're typing in the selected region. Press Ctrl + D to deselect everything.
  3. Not really. "Blending" is very ambiguous; there are many ways you can do so. What I am interpreting is that you want to fade an image into another. In which case, you'll want to : [*:1iymj3ce]paste the two images on seperate layers, then [*:1iymj3ce]go to the Gradient tool, then [*:1iymj3ce] switch :AllColorChannels: to :AlphaChannel: and [*:1iymj3ce] drag a gradient across the layer on top. Play with it until you get an effect you like. Good luck
  4. With something as simple as lines, cutting out the image is not necessary, assuming that all you want to do is have them behind the person. Simply take the eraser tool, zoom in, and erase the parts you don't want. It's less time-consuming than cutting out the entire person.
  5. You might want to narrow the search results to the Tutorials section only.
  6. You have a great sense of minimalistic abstract design. Have you ever considered doing web design?
  7. Looks a little flat right now. Needs shadows, highlights, etc etc.
  8. Seriously, who goes and fishes this out of the back pages every once in a while? I thought it was dead, like, three times, and each time someone came along and revived it. Thanks
  9. Also, try Opti-PNG, a plugin that compresses PNG files to make them smaller in file size.
  10. You can apply a Radial Blur like you normally would, then add a solid bar or whatever at the end of the radial, with the opacity turned down a little.
  11. Could you give us an exact description of what the Patch tool does?
  12. Certainly. You can create one thread for yourself to display all Paint.NET-created work that you made. The image umbrellas are just for loose work that you made, but don't necessarily want to put into your gallery.

  14. Nothing is supposed to change in your image when you create a new layer. It puts, in an analogy, a piece of "plastic wrap" over your current image. It's transparent. You can then add whatever you want onto that plastic wrap, and add more pieces of wrap (even more layers.) After you create a new layer, make sure the top layer is selected, then paste your new image. It should appear in the new layer. Then you can make whatever alterations you want to it

  16. Try adding a new layer, painting the eyeshadow directly on with the paintbrush, and setting your blend mode to Overlay. Play with it and see what happens.

  18. Use the Magic Wand and click the color that you want. Then, hold Shift and click any other color. You can do this as many times as you want.
  19. 1. Make sure you're pressing "Delete", not "Backspace". 2. Make sure you have no other layers that may show up and prevent you from seeing the checkerboard pattern.
