I did, animations can be very good if the person takes a great amount of time and put in a great amount of detail, but if they don't, it just isn't 'eye candy' to me.
And yes, I know my old sig was an animation, my opinion has changed since then.
I took a look at forumer's logo and liked it, so I tried to replicate it.
I'm not sure if I did a great job on the lighting, but I like it.
The curvy Y is just something I thought would complement it nicely.
Please don't use that many exclamation marks.
Open the image
Make a new layer.
Draw a rounded rectangle that's filled in with black on the new layer.
Use the magic wand to select the black rectangle.
Switch to the picture layer
Press ctr I to invert the selection
Go back to the rounded rectangle layer
Select it using the magic wand.
Switch to the picture layer
Select the gradient tool
Set your primary color to white and give your second color a alpha value of 0
Draw a linear gradient from the top to the center
Done.
