  1. GIMP Or get a friend like mine and ask him for photoshop for free.
  2. Yeah, recently I did that and got the same thing... I thought it was cool. I didnt wanna go through the trouble of hosting an image though.
  3. I would like to test it out.... But I have had my ups and down with beta's of programs in the past, but I trust Rick.
  4. Bark on your ripple, try using my blood drop tutorial and change the colors around to make the drop..
  5. I can't leave the forums, It is too great of a community here.
  6. You know how you made your lines across on one layer, or another canvas or something then gaussian blurred them? I suggest making a new image, 250 wide by 200 tall if my eyes serve me right, and then making the entire background transparent. Proceed to making your green lines, then blurring them. Paste that image into the PATD picture, and then make a new layer, make some lines that look like they are coming off of the current ones on the left side of the image, and then blur them and all that, then adjust the opacity so it looks like they faded into the other side.
  7. Send me a PM of EXACTLY what you want and I will do it later on. Adjust your tolerance on your toolbox. That will help you a lot.
  8. Their lead singer looks like a girl.... My only suggestion is you shoula made the lines on a transparent layer, then pasted that sucker in there, so you wouldn't get the gradient lines in between the two.
  9. I can do it for you tommorrow when I get on my other comp... I will post the results here. I will save one as PNG, and the other a PSD, make sure you install the photoshop file plugin too....I will be making it in photoshop.
  10. Ok. I have never used this, I know how to though. Take your text, and select it, with rectangular Selection tool....or hit S once. Then copy it with Ctrl + C. Get a new layer up.....and copy the text with Ctrl + V. Simple up to there... Now it gets a little bit more tricky. Go to Layers under the main window, and rotate zoom, play around with that till you are satisfied, then move it around and place it where you want it, I like to select the entire layer before doing this, just incase some goes out of your current selection. After that, Gaussian Blur that layer a little bit, not too much, and then using the Glow effect, put some glow on. Normally the upright text would have the most glow, and the reflected one would have less. Hope that helps.
  11. Not in my opinion. Plus this Computer is Really fast and can handle renders really quick.
  12. You are now officially a member of the PNG Fan Club, I Will send you your gift basket....And You can be the leader of the Paint.NET Sector.
  13. Stop rubbing it in, I feel really bad... I still use PDN at my other house....So that should count.
  14. Well, Correction, I am using it at my other house where I don't have and Probably won't be getting photoshop, so I will still have it, but on my really fast computer I will have Photoshop.
  15. My decision is that I am not using Paint.NET anymore. I feel bad.
  16. This was a really hard decision, but a friend last night decided He wasn't going to use his Photoshop anymore, so he gave me his key. I am now going to be using that, so I don't know if I am still welcome here.. Forgive me oh Rick, For I have sinned.

  20. Before we get started on installation instructions, please read this: MODERATOR NOTE - Please be aware that installing plugins for the Store bought version of Paint.net is slightly different. Please read How To half way down this page. NOTE ABOUT SOURCING PLUGINS: All reputable Paint.NET plugins are released via this forum. Either get them from here, or from links posted here. DO NOT TRUST PLUGINS FROM ANYWHERE ELSE. Please - it's for your own good. In addition, please do not post any links to third-party sites hosting Paint.NET plugins. This means that if (1) you don't own the site and the plugin, or (2) it isn't a link to forums.getpaint.net, don't post the link. To locate plugins by name or author, or to download the free listings (updated monthly) - see Ego Eram Reputo's Award-Winning Plugin Index. If you have already downloaded plugins from another source: Remove and uninstall all files you have downloaded from that site. Update your antivirus software's malware definitions. Run a "full" or "complete" scan with your antivirus software. Report the site to one of the moderators on this forum so we can consider whether to take action against it. You should follow these steps as soon as possible. It may take some time, but it will save you lots of recovery time later. Finally, if you see a suspicious link on this forum, don't click it. Report it to a moderator immediately via the "Report" link at the bottom of the post so that we can keep the links on this forum as trustworthy as possible. We can help tell you whether it is legitimate or not. Now, back to your regularly-scheduled plugin installation instructions. -The Mod Team --- I think this is a good Idea, Rick may not, but in this section there should be a stickied or at least a thread for installing plugins, there are a bunch in general discussion, and it should be covered here, if the creator didn't give instructions. Download the file, I personally save to desktop, then extract, move the extracted file to my desktop, then close the windows. Go to My Computer, then find C Local Disk Find Program files, and find Paint.NET, and find effects, place the .dll file in there, if it is a filetype, find filetypes in the paint.NET folder. If you have paint.net open while you install it, close it and open it again to access it. 21. Ok, I will post a pic of me like 2 years ago, I was bored one day, so I did this, I will email you the PSD, make sure you have the PSD plugin for paint.net. Basically, you use your magic wand, and adjust tolerance a lot. You will get some places where it isnt filled in, use the clone stamp for that. Keep making seperate layers, but first, what you do is you select the colored part of your shirt, for instance, and then copy that, make a new layer, and paste it. Do the same with other objects, all on new layers. I used a thumbnail because my camera has a really high resolution.
