  1. this is actually very easy, all it requires is the photo flood fill plugin. 1 Make your text 2 Magic wand the text, and hold down shift to select all of it, or ctrl to select specific letters 3 Then photo flood fill with the image you want and you got your text the way you want it.
  2. Check tutorials, I made one with 3 things, I went over how you get the embossed, or beveled effect.
  3. Yeah, this would be kinda nice...but im kinda happy with how it is..
  4. Exactly, something that takes out all the middle colors and uses simpler ones before this would make this excellent, I suggest including that into it somehow and see how that goes..
  5. Or you can just not be an < no swearing >, I was doing a reccomendation, I in no way put down Paint.NET...He asked what had it, and Gimp does. I also said that most of the stuff that you can do in photoshop can easily be done in paint.net.
  6. This would be very nice, but if you're looking for something closer to photoshop try gimp. I can also do most of the stuff I can do in photoshop than I can in paint.net, spare some of the filters...
  7. Or maybe define the up and down arrows to increase or decrease the tolerance respectively?
  8. can we get a way to assign different functions to different keys in the final release? Like So I can finally make wand W, lasso L, the marquee's M, and other stuff like that... Other than that, I really like 3.0 so far.
  9. Well you can select a partially transparent color and color with it, I've done it before....If you need help erasing, and it is hard for you, take the pencil, and carefully outline the object, then on the outside with a large brush, paint it all the same color, make it stand out, like green. Then magic wand the green and hit delete. Sometimes take the lasso around the edges and blur a little bit so it doesn't look so jagged.
  10. There is a way to put an invisible watermark on it, if it is being posted on the web, so people don't steal it...Not just blending it in, but so you can only see it when the image is highlighted....It is wierd, If I remember how to do it, I will write a tutorial on it.
  11. I made this a while back, I think it is one of my best works to come out of paint.net... except for one.
  12. I don't understand, so you made a plugin? but it goes under image? I am on 2.72 right now and I don't see that..
  13. That is just a simple one......In most of my PDN images I make for people, I combine a bunch of different textures.. http://www.grsites.com/textures is where I get most from, i even make some of my own... But he was looking on how to get that effect, so I told him how......
  14. I made a tutorial on this, and 2 other things... http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=2356
  15. Thanks, sorry I didn't search... =(
  16. Basically how is this new gradient tool going to work? Will we be able to make custom gradients, and use those? Will it be like the plugins? Will it be like a click and drag thing? I just wanna know what it will be like....
  17. On the toolbox, it is a blue bar, right by the colors. Actually it is called tolerance.
  18. Search function is great. Sorry for sounding mean, but this is being covered in the next release. 3.0 has MDI
  19. Easily. Find a really dirty background, and photo flood fill it over the image on a new layer and change the blending mode. Find a rust-like one on http://www.grsites.com/textures , or another thing to do, since these cannot be made on Paint.NET, go to http://www.good-tutorials.com search for textures, and steal the final result, and use that. That looks like it was done using color burn or linear burn in photoshop. If you need help, I will be on later on today on MSN, I will help you out.
  20. Well alright Illnab, I guess I can always just make a new document and paste that in for my borders..I try to refrain from using photoshop as much as I can at home, and I try to use Paint.NET as much as I can. I might have a tutorial coming up with this plugin possibly.
  21. Alright, I will tell you how to do it on MSN, but animations aren't all they are lived up to be, It isn't that rewarding for the work you put into them, which Is why I still mainly use paint.NET at home.
  22. If I told you what program I used, you would think I did the whole thing in that program. I used photoshop, I made it at one of my houses, took it to the other and animated it. I like that image too, I am guessing you added monochromatic noise and motion blurred it?
