Gaussian Blur+ (previously Channel Blur Plugin)
BoltBait replied to BoltBait's topic in Plugins - Publishing ONLY!
No. The way the code is structured, that would require too much work. Besides, no one ever uses it for anything except Alpha blur. -

How about making a new set of dominoes for my dominoes game? http://boltbait.com/forum/forums/8/ShowForum.aspx -
No, Paint.NET is a graphics editor, not an HTML generator.

Very impressive. However, there is one major problem that I see... You didn't include ads or space for the ads. -

Yeah, you need to feather the mouse better. Try using the "shrink" feather method. -
Anyone have a template for writing file type effects? I've been reading the sources of file types that I could find. There aren't many that I could find. And, the built-in file types seem to be written differently than the external ones... what else is required? I tried to write a file type and it won't show up in the list. What is the minimum amount of code I need to get my file type to show up in the list? Help! I'm confused. If only there was a manual...

Once you are familiar with the basics of Paint.NET, you can move on to the Tutorials section to see how some things are made. http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewforum.php?f=15 When running some tutorials, you may need to install some plugins. This page explains how to install plugins: http://boltbait.googlepages.com/install Here is a list of plugins I've created: http://boltbait.com/pdn And, you can always find more in the Plugin forum: http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewforum.php?f=16 Then, once you have created your own masterpieces, post them in the Pictorium: http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=1072 Also, be sure to read the rules: http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=3446 -
Thanks Scyphrex. BTW, another way to find out where Paint.NET is installed: Right-click on the Paint.NET icon (either in your start menu or on your desktop) and choose Properties from the context menu. On the properties page, click the "Find Target" button. This will open a window where Paint.NET is installed. Now, in that window, simply double-click on the Effects folder. From there, you can paste or drag your effect DLL file into that window.

After reading through all 13 pages, I just have one comment: Just because you *can* animate something doesn't mean you *should* animate something.

Paint.NET v3.10 BETA is now available
BoltBait replied to Rick Brewster's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
Please remember that if you've ever installed my Ink Sketch or Portrait plugins, it will be necessary to delete the Portrait.DLL and InkSketch.DLL files that are in the c:/Program Files/Paint.NET/Effects directory. If you don't, you'll just see the effects twice in the effects menu. Hmmm... might be time for me to update my sig... 8) -

http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=735 http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=3393 Precedent set. Argument refuted. I could, yes, but I'd consider that an abuse of power were it not requested or agreed upon by the general populace. Rick or BoltBait could, though. *I* didn't stick those! So, my original statement stands! Oh, and if I was to sticky my own tutorials, I'd sticky the CodeLab ones. But, I didn't and I won't.
