  1. Read this page: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=3172 And this page: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=4841
  2. Use another piece of software to do your printing. Oh, and by the way, your printer probably has a limitation that prevents full bleed printing.
  3. You don't need to have an area selected in order to type text. In this case, selecting all is the same as having nothing selected. The problem comes when you have an area selected and you try to type text outside of that selection--nothing happens.
  4. That's fairly easy. Choose the magic wand tool, set the tollerance to 0, Shift-Click the pixel of the color you want, press the delete key on your keyboard.
  5. The easiest way to make plugins is to use CodeLab. Download: http://boltbait.googlepages.com/codelab Tutorials: http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=5281 http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=5308 http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=6405 Then, when you want to step up, use the VS2005 template: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2618
  6. This page should give you some clues: http://boltbait.googlepages.com/install

  8. This is excellent advice. I had forgotten, but according to Wiki, "Applying multiple, successive gaussian blurs to an image has the same effect as applying a single, larger gaussian blur, whose radius is the square root of the sum of the squares of the blur radii that were actually applied."
  9. Fisherman's Friend, in your tower example, use Median Blur. It will give you what you are looking for.
  10. Ctrl-Y is what I think of when I want to undo my Ctrl-Z. I don't see a need for a change here.
  11. You could try the standard shapes plugin that I wrote. It can draw triangles for you. http://boltbait.googlepages.com/shapes Hope this helps.
  12. Basically, you use the cut-out technique to isolate the subject of your picture from it's background by putting it on its own layer. Then, use other layers to build your picture frame. BTW, here is one that I did:
  13. Try this tutorial: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=20435 It may not be EXACTLY what you want, but you should be able to get close.
  14. My new favorite plugin for photo editing is: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=6524 It's so good I wish I'd written it!
  15. Trust me when I say that you should not be using the phrases "not be that complicated" and "Gaussian Blur source" in the same sentence. Can't you just copy your selection to a new layer and blur that?
  16. Use a better thread title next time. Closed.
  17. I bet, if you looked in the help file, it would have a link that explains it perfectly.
  18. Probably because I'm so much better than other plugin authors. Well, Paint.NET is working properly. You'll have to take it up with the other plugin authors as to what might be wrong.
  19. Which plugins are you trying? Also, try one of the plugins in my sig by following these instructions. Tell me what happens.
  20. Some things to check. Right-Click on the DLL files and look at the properties. See if there is an "unblock" button on the general tab. If so, click it. Did you check the various menus for your effects? For example, the Color Balance effect in my signature shows up in the Adjustment menu instead of the Effects menu. The Feather effect in my signature shows up under the Effects > Blurs submenu. Are you running the latest (3.10) version of Paint.NET? Some effects will not run on older versions of Paint.NET. Hope this helps.
  21. Paint.NET is perfect for comics. Here is a tutorial to get you started: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=6193 Here is another one: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=5338&p=54399#p54399 Good luck!
  22. Really? Noone? viewtopic.php?p=102360#p102360 My mom always said I was "somebody."
  23. Also, very important, after you draw a straight line, if you RIGHT-CLICK and drag the nodes it turns into a bezier curve. THAT took me a long time to learn.
