You did a nice job on this one.
I just have one question...
What's her number?
I think she might be a little out of your age group BoltBait, unless you really like 15 year olds
Call me in 3 years.
Star Depth is a dynamic slider.
At 3-4 points, it is disabled.
At 5-6 points, it is either on or off.
At 7+ points, it can be adjusted.
As for the rest, I'm no artist. You'll just have to play with this to get the look you desire.
Try this:
1. Create a new layer
2. Draw your star on that layer (this will draw the outline)
3. Use the magic wand to select outside of the star (that is, everything but the star)
4. Press Ctrl-I to invert your selection
5. Press Backspace to fill the star with your primary color (or, you could draw a gradient in there)
6. Optional: Feather as necessary
This is a known issue and will be addressed in the 4.x timeframe.
As a work around, do this:
Open your image.
Ctrl-A (Select all)
Ctrl-C (Copy)
Ctrl-Alt-V (Paste into a new image)
Save that new image. It will have an updated thumbnail.
No, sorry. That is not possible with Paint.NET.
You could do it with a bit of HTML, which is how Photoshop does it. But, Paint.NET does not have the same built-in capability.
