  1. @Mister F You may need to use an alternative font to Times New Roman such as Baskerville.
  2. @JAA Have you tried the Halftone plugin? You may need to run it twice on different layers (horizontal / vertical). There is also this type of cross hatching but I don't know how to do it.
  3. Hello, I think you are using aliased rendering when drawing your line. You must change it at the top.
  4. @Pixey, @Tactilis, @BDP, Thanks, I think Cobweb is the closest. @Red ochre In fact, the effect is a combination between Cobweb and StringAndPin. I tried Gossamer but I think it's an advanced level plugin, I'm not sure how it works. Thanks for these tools. They are awesome.
  5. Hello, recently I saw a craft called "string art". It's threads that run across a board with pins. I wonder if there is an easy way to recreate this effect in Paint.net as in this video? Thanks for reading this post.
  6. @xod Hello, I really enjoy this plugin. Can a highlight effect be added? A full circle as the yellow one or an arch as the green one. Thanks.
  7. @JAA Hello, I don't know how to increase or decrease the length of dashes or the gap between the dashes but if you run the plugin on two different layers you don't need to use the line tool. If you want rounded dashes then you can use the median effect.
  8. @Rokitman I couldn't resist playing with Text on Path.
  9. @xod Thanks! It's just what I needed for another vocabulary activity. Could an undo/erase/remove nub feature be added?
  10. Hello @jpaulNotAvailable, Perhaps you could use the "Median plugin". Steps: 1. Duplicate your image and run the Median effect on the upper layer. 2. Erase with a soft brush the areas that you want to keep sharp, like the eyes, eye brows, nostrils, lips and teeth.
  11. Hello, I hope this helps. Draw a black to white gradient on a layer over your texture. Change the mode to additive and merge with your texture. Use Halftone plugin.
  12. Hello, When using plugins, if there is a particular setting I want to remember, I make a screen shot and include it on a layer. I do the same when using fonts, I write the name of the fonts and the sizes used. It takes just a few seconds and saves me a lot of time. I do this because I know I won't remember.😁
  13. Hello, I saw this type of image some time ago and there is post about it. There is a little tutorial on how to create it. https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/116863-simulate-old-bw-photo-printing-system/?do=findComment&comment=573950
  14. Hello, There is the Quantize effect that can reduce the number of colors but it doesn't give you an option to recolor it. You may need to use other plugins to change or replace the colors.
  15. Hello, You may want to try several plugins. 1. Using the plugin Hexagonal grid, you can create a grid with very thin lines. 2. There is a plugin with many other effects called GMIC and inside this plugin look for Reptorian and choose Auto fill coloring. 3. Then use the plugin Split color and brightness to remove the dark colors. It is not perfect but maybe other members have other ideas.
  16. @ReMake Thanks, very interesting for marking or delimiting sections. Could diagonals be added? Dashed lines with options to adjust the gap between the length of dashes would be great as well. Dots? Sorry if I ask too much. They are things I can use.
  17. @BoltBait I reinstalled Paint.net and I still have the error.
  18. @toe_head2001 It was working last week (Just before I updated paint.net). Today I tried to adjust a small image but I get the error message as soon as I press the icon on the effects menu.
  19. @midora I think this plugin has stopped working (at least for me) after the last paint.net update.
  20. I want to add that it's a great helper when using layered fonts, there is no need to retype and realign the text.
