collecting crystals
I collect them, too. I'm looking at a blue tiger's eye on my desk that I tumbled and polished myself. Beautiful piece. I have so many!....
The blues in 'Orca' are very soothing; what a pretty piece! Never thought to be inspired by my crystals... 🤭 Just keep up the splendid work, BBQ. When we're on a roll we have to go with it. Never know how long the next 'dry' spell is going to be! 😄

WOW! I love it, too. 😍 The colors just 'pop' off the screen and the glow in the background is just great. Super job! 👍 😊

The theme this week is "Music"
Chosen by @Manc SOTW #234 winner
This week you are challenged to design & create a signature that contains Musically-Themed elements.
Examples can be viewed here.
The deadline for entries is 2:00 PM EST (6:00 PM UK Time) on Saturday, March 27th, 2021.
Please see the World Clock for exact times.
This thread is for posting competition entries only.
If you want to talk about any of the entries, or ask a question regarding the competition, you can do so in the discussion thread found here.
Competition Rules:
Max dimensions are 500 x 200. Please NOTE: the forum limits signatures to 500 x 150. If it is too large, do not use it as your regular signature.
Please keep your signature family-friendly. Please keep to the theme that has been chosen.
You may modify or replace your image until the deadline.
Don't violate copyright laws with found images; links to source images would be courteous.
Your entry must be made using Paint.Net; please don't use an outside image editor.
Three (3) entries per entrant are allowed. Please make a separate post for each entry.
Signatures may be either horizontal or vertical.
Don't add links to larger versions of your signature. Your entry should be voted on based on the size laid out in rule #1.
Please keep larger versions of your work for your gallery.
The winner gets to choose the subject for the next competition. Good luck to all and thank you for entering.
A big thanks to: chrisco97, Sozo, TheHowler, Nitenurse79, Chimay, DrewDale & Pixey for keeping this comp going in the past!

Great entries from everyone! Not many unique entrants this comp, but, WOW!, what an amazing array of images!
I think in this comp, the image you chose to 'Gossamer' was key in your final result. Kudos to all! ☺️

Hi @Davev and welcome to the forum. 🙂
There are other plugin alternatives such as these:
And I believe there is a built-in border plugin. All these plugins are found under the Effects-->Render drop-down menu.
You can apply the border directly to the layer that contains your image (but you will cover some of your image) ~or~ create a new transparent layer above and apply it on that. This way you have more control over the border and your image. Good luck with your project!
Here is another alternate if you want a 'fancy' border:

@Supierb Hi. Welcome to the forum. Are you saving the file as .png? This file format preserves the transparency.

Wow @Ladybug! Great new images. The abstract / fractals are amazing. The snow scene is so realistic. The gilded orbs are beautiful.
The Egyptian pillar and candle are also very good. Bravo! 🤗 ❤️

All of them are beautiful, Red! ❤️ You got a 'crystal' thing going on a couple of them (haha)...
Love 'Dryad5wayBrooch3' and 'hexgrid5'; really colorful and eye-popping! The 'Flourishes' and 'goldenspiral' are great, too. 🤗
