  1. I ended up using the default 7. I did experiment in levels from 5 ~ 8, But level 8 made it 4x the size with little to no improvement in quality. I'll experiment with other gradient sources, but I think it is very usable at default 7.
  2. 100% RacerX's brain. Tools used: PDN.
  3. Nice update. The Dithering feature helps a great deal. Although still not quite as good as ffmpeg, it is certainly usable...
  4. Nice animation Pixey! The chicks look mad that the bunny is stealing the show...
  5. No problem... If you don't mind, I may do a tutorial using your Amplifier. It will be a tutorial on generating wave forms from music. The tutorial will involve using Aviutl, but if there is interest, I'll post a link here.
  6. It's 5.42 MB. Send me your email via PM.
  7. Nice animation on the amp. You learned very quickly. You can add music to that animation, but you'll have to export as a video file. I could do it for you, which Queen song do you want? It will only take a couple of minutes to create.
  8. Paint.net was only used to make the Prop + motion blur and my logo just under the window. The plane itself is model 3-D made about 8 years ago. The clouds were animation stock which I reversed. The actual animating of all pieces was done in Aviutl (free FX editor). That's why I wouldn't include it. It doesn't matter anyway, I'm not tying to win, only supporting it.
  9. I actually made your amp animation using Aviutl. It has a wav form generator that can sync the bars with the music. However you probably want to do this all in Paint.net. It's possible, but will take multiple passes. here's what I would do and experiment as I go along: Layer 1 = Amp with meters layers 2,3 = needles at various positions. Add // transition then render out gif Import gif, add new layer above all and put in your meter lenses. add " // foreground" then render out gif.
  10. Well one way is to add the amplifier to a blank layer below the meter. In the amplifier layer properties add " // background" (without the quotation marks).
  11. Yeah, that stream animation is not looped properly. However this fireplace video was looped manually via a free looping tool I used awhile back. Link: http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/um/people/hoppe/proj/videoloops/
  12. Pixey made a beginners tutorial here: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/31665-make-an-animated-gif-with-midoras-plugin/#entry425107 I may make one also, but it will be more complex and will involve multiple programs...
  13. I totally forgot about this thread, sorry. Anyway I do have quite the checkered past, a very successful checkered past actually. However I'm not interested in winning this contest or any other for that matter. So I will concede to FotoFactory for the win. Thanks for the votes just the same.....
  14. I don't think you can do that with any program. Once an image is flattened, you'll have to clone over the text and shadows to change the text.
  15. Nice birdies animation Pixey, looks like you're getting the hang of it rather quickly.... Anyway, I think a cool option (if it can be done) is the ability to import AVS scripts (Avisynth). This would open up many opportunities in my opinion. Unfortunately there is probably less than a handful of people here who even know what Avisynth is, much less use it's abilities... Here is an image sequence I imported into Paint.net and added a text as " // foreground" and saved as 64 colors because I'm tired of the winter already...
  16. Well here is a quick hack job on animating the needles. I'm not even sure if they are moving in the right direction, it's been many years since I've used a good music amplifier.....
  17. How about Queen's Another one bites the dust?
  18. Nice update. I like the ability for Animateit to auto open last saved gif. That helps making editing changes faster... P.S. I figured out how to make the water reflection ripple animation effect in Aviutl. Lot's of options to choose from.
  19. Its the frame duration in milliseconds. Example // 50ms.
  20. I like the Amp, very nicely done....... I don't have the patience for making things like this from scratch, I prefer the Dr Frankenstein method of piecing it together from existing parts.
  21. Great job on this tutorial Pixey! I was thinking of doing a tut on this, now I don't have to. Nice job on the illustrations also....
  22. Midora, I really like that water/reflection effect. Looking forward for your implementation of that effect.
  23. Seerose, excellent work. I like the water effect over your logo, very cool. Pixey yours is also excellent.
  24. Agreed, that is a great look Sasha. @Pixey, that is a great image. Very similar to some of the graffiti I've seen passing through NYC.
