  1. Marilynx, Radial Blur Deluxe is very similar to the basic Radial Blur, as the name suggests If you center the image you want to Radial Blur you'll get a similar result with the basic plugin. Also, as Barbieq25 said, those plugins are not that essential to the creation. The basic ones already installed should do the trick
  2. Wow, wouldn't say no to exploring that island over there Nicely done Ishi! PS. If you want to make som reflections/sparkles from the sun on the water surface, MadJik's "Water Reflection" plugin is very useful.
  3. Two photo-frags made for yesterday http://i1351.photobucket.com/albums/p791/linneasimon96/Halloween%20Greeting_zpslabzxnhd.jpg http://i1351.photobucket.com/albums/p791/linneasimon96/Pumpkin_zpsmgr4cjkf.png
  4. I'm glad things worked out and that I could break the Invisibility Spell for you
  5. Have you made sure to uncheck the duplicated layer of the picture, aka "the Gremlin-layer"? If there is a duplicate of the picture layer still visible, the transparency of gradient won't show.
  6. A very nice autumn pic, Ishi! I like the texture of the blueberries, makes me think of the countless I picked this summer
  7. Thank you @Pixey! And never mind about the 20th, we all mix up stuff some times. I thought it was a fun comment anyway. The clarity I got from Lynxters thread still cracks me up I'm glad you liked the feathers, @Red Ochre. The base model was made with the furblur plugin, so thank you for making them possible
  8. Oh, so that's why I didn't get it! Lovely shapes @Lynxster, got me hungry!
  9. Thanks for dropping by and the nice comments @Nitenurse79 and @Drydareelin! I'm very happy you liked it Here are some new pics http://i1351.photobucket.com/albums/p791/linneasimon96/Flower%20Ball_zpskajqkqcz.jpg http://i1351.photobucket.com/albums/p791/linneasimon96/Juicy%20Bits_zpspeysuavl.jpg http://i1351.photobucket.com/albums/p791/linneasimon96/Egg_zpssgsaod0p.jpg And also a full sized version of my entry to SOTW#138 http://i1351.photobucket.com/albums/p791/linneasimon96/Swan%20Queen%20Original_zps63twt4gu.png

  11. Nice work everybody, they are all some really good looking sigs! Congrats to Seerose, Pixey and Mottoman to their wins :trophy: ! And thank you Pixey for hosting the contest
  12. To answer your questions about the gradients, Marilynx. First: Yes, the universe IS out to get you. Duplicating the picture is not necessary, but it is an easy way to restart if an screw-up should occur instead of punching Ctrl-Z a bunch of times. Just make sure to uncheck one of the duplicated layers visibility, otherwise the result won't show if there are two pictures on top of each other. Second: The transparency gradient shold be done on the same layer as your picture of the mountain lake. If done on an empty layer, there will be no result. Third: Don't set the layer to transparent, it is supposed to be visible. It is the gradient that should be set to Transparency Mode in order to make a part of the lake (or what ever you may want) transparent. Fourth: Here's a HowTo-pic to show you how to make a gradient with Transparency Mode on your picture. http://i1351.photobucket.com/albums/p791/linneasimon96/HowTo%20-%20Transparent%20Gradient_zpssre7uqaa.jpg
  13. You could use the gradient tool set to Transparency instead of Colour to create a fade to the mountain picture on Layer 3. Select gradient as your tool, and find the Transparency/Color Mode button situated below the Undo/Redo buttons. Gradients are automatically set to Color Mode :Colors:, so you will have to press the button in order to set your gradient to Transparency Mode :AlphaChannelOnly:. Draw the gradient on Layer 3 where you have got the picture of the lake and mountain, this will cause the picture to fade gradually Good luck!
  14. Hi Marilynx and welcome to the forum! I hope I can help you with answering your questions as far as I can Try to lower the tolerance of the selection tool on the Tolerance Meter, positioned below the Effects Menu. You'll be able to select smaller parts of the image you have pasted. Are you sure you have selected the correct layer for what you wanted to copy? That's usually my problem when copying from many layers. You can either press F4 on your keyboard or double click on the layer you want to rename to open it. Then it is just to write whatever you want to name your layer in the top box on the menu you have opened by pressing F4/double clicking. And don't worry, you'll learn this program just fine! Asking questions about tricky things are the best way in improving and becoming even better Hope this will be to some help.
  15. Thank you @Pixey. I did try to post the image code, but got an error message so I posted the thumb as a temporarily solution. Will find out what I did wrong and post the full code today

  19. Submitting my sig to the ring http://i1351.photobucket.com/albums/p791/linneasimon96/Limon%20Sig_zpsavotivg6.jpg
  20. This is the easiest way I can think of: Step 1: Open the image you want to crop. Step 2: Create a new layer by pressing :AddNewLayer: at your Layers Menu. (If not visible, the menu can be accessed by pressing F7) Step 3: Draw a filled shape :ShapeInterior: on the new layer. Step 4: Select the transparent area outside the shape with the magic wand tool . Step 5: Go back to the layer with your image, and press the delete button on your keyboard. Step 6: Select the layer with the drawn shape and remove the layer by pressing :CancelButton: on your layers menu. You should after these steps end up with only one layer containing your image cropped to the shape you drew.
  21. Hello! Circle Text is a wonderful text formation tool, but if you'd like a more wave-y kind of text I'd suggest the WaveTextSUI plugin. It can be found here: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/16634-wave-text/ Here's something I whipped together as an example of how the plugin works http://i1351.photobucket.com/albums/p791/linneasimon96/Wave%20Text%20SUI_zpsbnzrtpue.png
  22. Wow! Thank you everbody for your positive comments, it is a great motivation for me to get feedback on my pics! @Helen: I know which one of the movies you mean, so I googled the title since I couldn't remember it either: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. I can see the resemblance now that you've mentioned it, I guess the thing that's missing is "KALI MA!" @MJW: Thanks! You got me thinking, maybe I will
  23. Haha, thanks! I guess he got a bit competitive when I zoomed pass him in my "Reliant Robin" Bumper cart... But yes, it is quiet annoying
  24. @Barbieq25: Thank you very much!
