Custom image size templates

Recommended Posts

A feature where when you press File, New, you can choose from a set of default and self defined size templates, for example, kinda what photoshop does, but you make the list yourself? So my most popular resolution is 1920x1080, but i use 1801x2528 and other sizes, i would love to be able to save and name these sizes to be selected from the File, New option. I know i can create blank canvases and save them to open and save again, but this would be a great feature to have in the future!

Sorry, I missed a line in your OP.  Please disregard.

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

No, I've seen this be suggested before.  I just can't remember what Rick's answer was.  :-)

The workaround is to create correctly sized templates and save them as *.pdn's with a filename that describes the size.  Like this: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/24853-how-do-you-stop-paintnet-from-creating-a-new-canvas-upon-program-execution/?p=376215

Double click the template to open it and immediately use Save As... to rename it so you don't overwrite the original (alternatively, set the file permissions as in the linked thread)

That was my original answer, too, but then I noticed that OP already used that and wants a baked-in option. :-)
