Polygons Object Align Tile Image Curly Lines
1. Start with a new canvas size: 600width x 800height px.
2. Add a new layer and draw a Horizontal black line (Brush width=1) on entire canvas. Effects>>Object Align>>Both
3. Add a new layer and draw a Vertical black line (Brush width=1) on entire canvas. Effects>>Object Align>>Both
4. Select Background layer and then Add a New Layer (Body pencil).
5. On Colors float window click on More>> and expand. Type in the Hex box: FFAA00. Swap colors then type in the Hex box: FFCC00.
6. On Tools float window click on Gradient and choose Linear (Reflected). Cick on center of the canvas an drag horizontal (press and hold Shift key) about 25-30 pixels. (Look in the status bar of the window).
7. Add a new layer (Cut out selection). Click on Effects>>Render>>Polygons:
Select top area of the polygon and Cut.
Click on Effects>>Object Align >>Vertical: Top
Click on Layers menu and Flip Vertical.
Use Magic Wand and select the bottom area. Select bottom layer (Body pencil) and Cut selection.
Click on Effects>>Distort>>Tile Image
8. Add a new layer (Mine pencil). Expand Colors float window and type in the Hex box: 606060. Swap colors and type again: A0A0A0.
On Tools float window click on Gradient and choose Linear (Reflected). Cick on center of the canvas an drag horizontal (press and hold Shift key) from the center to the edge of the canvas.
9. Delete Cut out selection layer. Select bottom layer (Mine pencil) and add a new layer (rename it Cut out selection).
Click on Effects>>Render and run Curly Lines plug in with the folowing settings (the other settings are default):
Duplicate layer and flip horizontal. Merge Layer Down.
10 Use Magic Wand (Tolerance: 20) to select central triangle area, invert selection (Ctrl+I), select bottom layer (Mine pencil) and Cut selection.
11. Add a new layer (Wood). Expand Color float window and type in Hex box: FFE394. Click on Paint Bucket tool and fill the layer with this color.
Select above layer (Cut out selection).
Repeat step 10 for layer Wood: Use Magic Wand to select central triangle area, invert selection (Ctrl+I), select bottom layer (Wood) and Cut selection.
Delete Cut out selection layer. Make invisible background layer.
12. Resize (Move Selected Pixels) to 300x400px (press Shift key) objects from Wood, Mine pencil and Body pencil layers.
(Look in the status bar of the window. Zoom in to increase acurracy of resizing).
Drag from bottom right corner to center of the layer.
13. Select Mine pencil layer then Effects>>Object Align>>Vertical: Bottom.
14. Select Wood layer then press Ctrl+F. Make invisible Horizontal axis and Vertical axis layer.
15. Click on Rectangle Select, make a selection like in image below, click on Move Selected Pixels and drag to top like in second image below. Deselect.
16. Move down twice Wood layer. Select Mine pencil layer and make a selection like in image below then Cut selection.
Now you can flatten image, resize and use point 15 to increase height of pencil.
