Windows 7 wants to include PdN

Recommended Posts

That article hardly looks reputable.

Microsoft has always acknowledged that Paint.NET with one day replace the current 'Paint' application in Windows.

Really? That's news to me!

"with one day"? riiiiight... the article just lost another 50 points...

Still I've found this on several sites. But when I had time to post it this is the only one I could find. Also, this is just an archive of another site (which I again can't find). But anyway, the idea is extremely disturbing

Design can be art. Design can be aesthetics. Design is so simple. That's why it's so complicated.

I could have sworn that the creator of PDN (Rick?) worked for Microsoft (or what you call "the beast")...

and had already mentioned that "anti anything" posts shouldn't take place on the board.

Rick would actually have to give Microsoft permission to use his program, which, I don't think he will. Plus, if Microsoft wants a different Paint program than the one that they have, they can always um, build one... I mean, come on, they built an entire operating system, one paint program isn't going to be that difficult.

Sage

When in doubt, Try it out.

I made this sig file using http://www.anim8or.com and making all of the textures with http://www.getpaint.net

I love freeware.

I guess SD is right. BUT:

So, Microsoft would be able to take and modify the code, then make it MS Paint 2.0!

So long as the About Box stays the same as it is now. Yes.

Paint.NET: ... but Microsoft has always acknowledged that Paint.NET with one day replace the current 'Paint' application in Windows.

Hah. Yeah that's completely false.

Nothing to see here.
