stretching

Hi there,

 

I cant figure out how to stretch one side of an object plz help..

Use Move Selection then right clic on corner selection and tilt it. Choose Paint Bucket and fill whith white.

Maybe not the easiest way but try this:

1. Select the object

2. Use 'Move Pixels' to extend the size

3. Copy and paste to a new image

4. Use plugin 'Quadrilateral Reshape' to move the top right corner back

5. Copy and paste back to the original.

Only thing is that its not what i mean.

 

The object needs to hold its original presentation, so only stretched one corner.

When u select an object, the are 4 cornerdots, what i mean is how can u move 1dot while the others stay on their place.

that way u can stretch it one side.

You can' t. A rectangle stays a rectangle. Maybe in 4.0.

Use 'Quadrilateral Reshape'.

The object needs to hold its original presentation, so only stretched one corner.

 

 

For the example in the top row. Start with a small rectangle (maybe just one pixel wide) at the right side. Expand it and move the top right corner back.

 

If you have to do more complex object manipulations then you should use a vector editor (i.e. Inkscape).

But if i move the top right corner back, the down right corner also moves back?

I talked about step 1 to 5 but starting with a small selection on the right.

To get the trapezoid effect you could use the Perspective plug-in (or the built in layer rotate/ zoom)
