braddalton
i simply want to type the name of the website and change the first 2 letters to another color without having to do it in 2 separate words
DrewDale
I think you would have to do this on two individual layers, and then position the second layers text in alignment with the first layer, there is no means of changing the colour of individual letters on the same layer (unless I'm proved wrong) Edited December 5, 2012 by DrewDale
braddalton
Easily done in a word doc. Not sure why it can't be done in paint.net 2 layers won't be as accurate as one

pdnnoob
EDIT: just realized how tedious that was... here's a better way Type your text in one color (on its own layer) and select what needs a color change using the rectangle selection. Use hue/saturation adjustment or the curves adjustment to change the color.
