Possum Roadkill
OK I decided last night with only four entries submitted to extend the entry period. I'm glad I did, because I had an entry waiting for me this morning. So far I think we have some beautiful images, but I'd really like to see more. How long do you want the entry period extended? pdnnoob
I won't be able to join to competition. Whether that is fortunate or unfortunate is up to you to decide . Anyhow, more entries would be nice, so I'd suggest you extend it to Monday so people have the weekend to work on their entries. Also, I like this image size restriction idea...it give "wallpaper of the week" more meaning ^^ I think we should do that to every WOTW competition from now on...please? csm725
Possum: 1900x1200 is more common than 1600x1200 - I think you should change it. Not everyone has a letterbox style monitor so the aspect ratio you have requested would not fit everyone's screen. I don't mind doing it this time since you chose the theme. However, I will add to the rules that this is a Wallpaper comp and the image size should be made so that it would fit a wide variety of screens. Sorry to hear that you won't be entering. I always enjoy your images. Hopefully on the next round you will rejoin us. Possum: 1900x1200 is more common than 1600x1200 - I think you should change it. I don't mind adding that size to the acceptable image size list, but like I said in the previous comment, not everyone has the same screen size. I work on four different computers from time to time and all of them have a different screen size. The computer I use the most of the time for Paint.net has a screen size of 1440X900, so resizing a 1900X1200 image would still be a little off for my laptop. I think as long as we just have a general rule that the image should be at common screen sizes for use as a wallpaper, we'll be just fine. Are entries going to get disqualified if they don't meet the ratio aspects ? Your's will be. No, I'm not going to be that picky. I'm just glad that people take the time to make an image for the comp. I think we have enough rules as it is. pdnnoob
ha! I guessed possum and welshy's entries correctly! Gold-ish effects in JD's entries threw me off...thought that was barbieq's entry. Didn't expect oma to join O.O Had no clue who made barbieq and yellowman's entries. Nice work, everybody! I'll see if I can join the next one No, Paint.NET is not spyware...but, installing it is an IQ test. ~BoltBait Blend modes are like the filling in your sandwich. blackpenny
Congratulations Welshy, Yellowman, Possum, Oma! I started an entry but didn't finish in time. Or chickened out after I saw the other entries. I don't think I guessed a single one right. It would be fun to have a comp just to guess who did what - match the work with the artist. (I am not volunteering to host it. )

(I am not volunteering to host it. ) You know, that would be fun. I think I might have an advantage since I have foreknowledge of each comp, I'm getting used to seeing who does what in the various comps and the style they use. Try to guess who made what image in the SAC comp and post it in the discussion thread. Let's see how good you are.
