Haza103
Hi, i'm new to the forums and i've got a problem. For the past week or so i've been looking at some of the tutorials and adding some of them to my favourites list so i can work on them this weekend. When i've came round to get to work on them today, i can't access them. I've had to sign up to the forums to look at them, but now when i go to view them i get a message saying "You are not authorised to read this forum". Can anyone help? I really want to learn some new stuff, and i'll be really gutted if they're gone for good beause some of them were awsome. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Axle
i can't remeber that ever happening to me but if you send me some of the broken forum links i'll see what could possibly make it happen. sure it's not just when you try to post a response?? because they could be locked and then no-one can post in there. Haza103
I had them on my favourites list for the past week or so. They were buried somehwere in the tutorials forums, i know the first one was in the newbies playground but the others i can't remember. SkullSplitter
I believe these are legacy tutorials, but I might be wrong. When you search using searchpaint.net you'll get some links to tutorials you can't access. Quote My gallery Spider-man signature tutorial
Axle
but why would you save a link in your favourites unless if you saw what was in there?? Quote My Deviant Art | My Gallery
Simon Brown
Because the legacy tutorials forum used to be public, but now the permissions have been changed while it is being phased-out. See: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=23896
Frontcannon
I think adding a date to the edit would make things much clearer. Quote Night Vision Text Effect Tutorial Gallery reddit.com/r/futurebeats | My Mixcloud

Haza103
but why would you save a link in your favourites unless if you saw what was in there?? I do remember what they were, one was a zexion sig tutorial, another one was a pyrochild sig. Either way, i think i have a better idea of what's happened, thanks guys
david.atwell
Rest assured, the legacy tutorials did not teach the best parts of the program. You should really use the current Tutorials+ forum. They've been more extensively reviewed. :-) Quote  The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. Simon Brown
Because they're old. If you have a specific tutorial you want restored, I suggest replying to this thread.

Goonfella
If you`ve only just noticed that they are gone that kind of proves that there was no point in keeping them doesn`t it? david.atwell
Look, they've been in the Legacy Tutorials forum, locked, for months. If you had them chilling in a bookmark folder somewhere, waiting for you to do them, it's a safe bet you never would. Calm down, folks. theonlychad
aye i agree the old stale tuts didn't really teach anything innovative. I haven't even looked at any of the legacy tuts. I started out in the newbie area and moved my way through the other ones . Quote  "Clearly it's a very serious and literal meaning. Look how organized this is only 2 or 3 of the ones listed I've been able to look at anyone else able too?: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Paint.NET/ ... /Tutorials
Sarkut
Some of the tutorials on the wiki are actually available in the tutorial section. Just a matter of bad links in the wiki. Try using forum Search with the tutorial titles as keywords. Best of luck.
